I could never commit to a tattoo. A week later, I'd wish it was a green dragon instead of a red one, or Tweety instead of Sylvester, or whatever. Commitment issues! Amazing I've been married nearly 29 years

How’s everyone feeling. I was sleeved 2/15. I’m down 2 sizes and feel like I can take in more Water today than even this morning. I just had 12 oz of water in about 1 hour when before that would take several. Anyone struggling with purée (current stage) Or liquids are you starting to feel a little better ?

My surgery is Feb 20th. I am so nervous but excited. I think if anything i am scared of being put to sleep. However Im ready to feel and be healthy if anyone wants to keep in touch im very active on Instagram. @steph_tabb

I’m scheduled on 2/15. I have the same concerns. I know 3 people personally that have gin through it and they say follow the instruction to a “T” and no problems. East something wrong = pain and suffering. I’ll be there for you !! We can compare notes since we will be 3 days apart [emoji16]

2 Years after my surgery I started having problems. I'm hoping someone out there can tell me if they went through this or give me advice. 5 months ago (2 years after my surgery) I started vomiting. I would have SERIOUS pain in by my left shoulder blade. The vomiting was/is mostly very foamy. First I thought is was the type of foods I was eating. It started out with a biscuit, pizza, pancakes. I thought I might have been allergic to gluten. Then I would start throwing up vegetables, cheese, anything, etc. Even though the vomiting concerned me, I was more interested in what caused the pain in my left shoulder blade. The only was to ease that pain was to stick my finger down my throat until I almost threw up a lung. Getting EVERYTHING out!!! Like I said, the foam is weird. I went to a gastro. dr. and he thought it might be my gall bladder. They did a ultrasound and didn't find anything. He gave me an RX for the nausea. The RX is supposed to be strong, he said cancer patients take it to control their nausea after chemo. Well, that didn help. He said if it continued to have an endoscopy done. I've been putting it off. Does anyone have this problem or do you have any idea what is happening to me?

I guess I failed to realize that my body is healing and I kind of get discouraged because they see all these people who had surgery around the same time as me posting how they've lost 15 lb or you no more so I expect to the kind of do the same thing but everyone is different for sure I know that I am losing but I'm not losing as fast I don't think I can see a change in my face mostly. Thanks for your advice in your information I really appreciate it

Surgery is scheduled for February 12th...I’m not worried about the surgery but the unknown about how I will feel afterwards is the nerve racking part! Hope it all goes well!

Hi everyone! I'm new to bariatric pal... can't believe this is my first time here... and just scheduled my vsg for 2/6/18 looking forward to sharing my experience with you and hearing about yours. Almost there!

I basically told everyone. First my parents and husband and best friends, and then my social media. I am not making a secret out of it, I have a blog that I share too, the writing down helps me to process what is happening and what is going on in my life now and later.
But I had the one or other strange experience. Like a friend who heard surgery and got worried but when she heard what kind she was like "oh, okay" and told me that if I had done more before I wouldn't need the 'easy road' now. Since she is someone I care about I gave her a link to learn about the surgery and told her to repeat that to me after reading this, she never did.
If it's people I don't know or don't care much about I just let them talk. As a fat girl for over 30 years I have learned at some point to let haters hate. Pick your battles and all that. Of course, sometimes it still gets to me, I'm not a machine, but it has gotten easier. My body, my choice. Easy peasy.
