Hi, my doctor cancelled my surgery date and had schedule a month later, it was cancelled because I had flu symptoms, and they did not want anything interfering with the anesthesia. Anyhow good luck tomorrow and keep us posted. 👍🏽

So tomorrow morning at 8am I am to report to the hospital. Can't believe it's finally here! Now I'm terrified bc I have a cold and my nose is all stuffy. No fever or anything. I'm praying they don't canx on me....anyone ever have a cold and still gave their procedure done???

I’m March 12 also. I’ve been in liquid diet for 2 weeks. I’m scared to! It’s very scary and I’m a little under the weather right now to. The thought of postponing and starting over....no way!! I’m keeping my eye on the prize. I know I’ll go into the hospital on Monday, go to sleep and when I wake up it will be the start of my new life and that get me excited!

I know they say afterward people are tired bc of the lack of calorie intake. Anyone tired during the pre-op liquid diet? I’m exhausted but I also feel like I may be getting sick. Surgery is scheduled for Monday please cross your fingers for me!

I have bcbs. I did 4 weigh in, endoscopy, pulmonary, cardiologist, nutrition, pysc, and sleep apnea test. BMI is 40. Having my surgery on march 12. It seems like a lot but it goes by really fast. I remember when I started dreading all the BS but now it's here and I can't wait!!

My son had his 2 half years ago. He had times when it seemed like no weight was coming off. He is now down over 140 lbs.

Beginning the two weeks of liquid hell next Monday;)

March 12th at 0 Dark 30.

My wishful thinking is that I can get to a pre-surgery weight and would be happy with 30 more pounds - even though 35-40 would be ideal. My total weight loss should be about 40-50 pounds - which is a significant amount on someone 5'1".
I really am not looking to be judged by someone who doesn't know my struggle or my history. I'm medically qualified for the surgery.

I went back one week after. I took it easy and made sure i spent the majority of my time at my desk and i was a little tired but perfectly fine for a desk job or light work. Waitressing wouldn’t have been possible. And teaching on your feet all day would be a little challenging.

I took 1 week off, no issues whatsoever going back to work except for being very tired from lack of calorie intake.
