  1. Before you go pointing fingers at my choices in which you know nothing about, get facts. I have been eating and getting filled and doing what I'm supposed to. Your ignorance inferiorates me.
  2. 4 yrs for me. Only weight lost was from pre-op optifast. Waste of money.
  3. Dr. Hattingh in Fort St John now does lapband fills. :seeya:
  4. Just a quick post to tell you the good news! Dr Cobourn is coming to Fort St John at the end of May to train my doctor, Dr Du Preez, how to do fills! There will finally be someone in Northern BC who can do them! :w00t::w00t:
  5. Just a heads up to everyone in Northern BC and area, Dr Cobourn is coming to Fort St John to train my doctor, Dr Du Preez, on doing fills. He will be here the end of May!:w00t:
  6. Thank you so much for the reply. I was worried that I would do damage and was trying to hold in my burps...which I didn't have much success at. LOL
  7. The only place that does fills from the SWLC in my area is in Sexsmith, AB which is a 3 hour drive away. I talked to the nurses at SWLC and said they will train any doctors who are willing to come down for training. I will have to beg my doctor here to go get trained on fills. LOL. I was just wondering if the other clinics have people closer to me that may do fills from someone outside of their clinic.
  8. I am all alone in Fort St John, BC. Where do you ladies get your fills done?
  9. I was burping like mad, and still do. I am 2 weeks post op and wow did it ever hurt to burp. It felt like it was stuck and then came thru and then it felt like my band was being ripped out! I was so scared that burping and this ripping feeling would be bad for my band, and I am still not sure if it causes band slippage or not. :confused2: Perhaps someone has an answer for this. It hurts very rarely now to burp, thank goodness.
  10. I am looking for some other people who are banded in this area. I am also looking for a place that does fills closer to me other than Sexsmith, AB. Help!
  11. I am in Fort St John, BC and looking for someone close by to do fills! I can't even find anyone else who has a band that lives around here. Please help!!
  12. Hey there, I just read that you are from Dawson Creek. I am in Fort St John and having a terrible time finding other lap-banders. I may be the only one. LOL I fear that I will have to go to Sexsmith, AB to get fills. Where do you go for yours?
  13. Is there anyone out there from Fort St John, BC and area or am I the only one?!! Is there any place closer to this area to go for fills? I have not had one yet but will have to travel to Sexsmith, AB to get one done.
  14. Hi there, I just got banded on March 25, 2008 by Dr. Mumford in Ontario. I currently live in Fort St John, BC and would love to find people in the area to get together with for support and just hang out. I am on the mend but find the hardest part is TRYING to eat SLOWLY! It is very unfortunate that there are no doctors here that do fills. I am not looking forward to the 3 hour drive to Sexsmith, AB for them. :purplebananna: If you are from Fort St John and would like to meet another bandster, get ahold of me! If you aren't, feel free to chat me up! Paula
