    Surgery in May?

No it’s just a term that a lot of people use in reference to having the surgery done.

    Surgery in May?

So 4 of us that I know of joined the losers bench today. 3 of us from Canada and 1 from Montana. It’s so nice to be able to converse with other people that were having. The same thing in the same day as me. It’s been not too bad so far. Just need to get the gas moving so I don’t have to endure the pain like others have.

    April/May 2018 Sleevers!!?

Where are you going to get your surgeries? I’m headed there myself for surgery on May 14th at OCC. and good luck to all of you. That’s awesome that you have such supportive people in your life and that you have each other to go through it at the same time.

    Surgery in May?

It’s not that terrible of a place and I’ve done extensive research on the facilities there and have talked to other people who have gone to the same place. It’s highly rated and recommended also getting approval in Canada takes 2-3 years and I’m not waiting any longer to get this done.

    April/May 2018 Sleevers!!?

I have had the same thoughts since I booked this back in November. But I know that this is what I need to help me in achieving my goals and as said above, the before and after pictures people are showing from just the last couple of months of post op are what make me keep the course and have this done. I want to see change and I need this tool to help me. There may be days where it’s not pleasant and easy going but you have to remember this is going to help you for life not just short term and in the end I don’t think you or any of us is going to regret it.
  9. I’m going to OCC too. I’m scheduled for May 14th. I have a layover on the way back and I’m taking someone with me because I was worried about the travelling afterwards and the tiredness. My concern is what is allowed in our carry ons since we are on the liquid diet the day of travel and the nutrition team there specifies Vitaleph for the protein. Has anyone had issues getting through customs? I’m in Canada do it might be a bit different compared to the US

    April/May 2018 Sleevers!!?

I decided to get mine done in Mexico so it hit me hard when I booked it, did all the paperwork and paid the deposit which was back in November. After that it was in the back of my mind but I just couldn’t get myself on track to start then with everything but now that I am in pre-op and it’s for a month and a half it hit me again that this is happening and I have to get it together so I don’t have to reschedule since I’m not at the weight they stated for me already. You’ll get there once you know when it’s happening for sure.

    April/May 2018 Sleevers!!?

It’s so exciting to see so many people getting approved right now. Congrats to all of you that had to go through this stressful process. I’m currently in the first week of an extended pre-op diet that my surgeon has recommended and it’s been hard with it being so basic and changing everything so quickly. But I make it happen to ensure I don’t lose my date.

    April/May 2018 Sleevers!!?

Mines May 14th in Mexico. Did my research and spoke to someone else that when to the same place and it was actually easier to get in there in a good time frame rather there go through the health care system here. It may cost me but I am determined to use this as the tool it is meant to be and be able to do all the things you guys listed. Im glad there are so many people around the same time to experience this with.

    Newbie :) surgery date 5/10/18

Mine is May 14th. I’m excited and nervous. I’m lucky to have the support of my parents and a few close friends. My oldest brother and his wife aren’t very supportive of it but really it doesn’t matter as I’m doing this for me and it’s something I need. I’m glad there are some people close to the same date as me.
  14. Hey. I've scheduled my surgery for May 14th. Im from Canada and the wait to even get on the wait list is too hard so I've decided to go to Mexico to a centre that a old friend of mine had gone to. I don't have insurance that covers the cost but hoping to get seomthing back from our provincial coverage like I've seen someone else get. Now since I don't have to go through insurance I don to have all th same appointments that you guys do but my doctor is completely on board with me getting this surgery and has set up a plan with me to make sure we keep on top of my levels to lessen the risk of malnutrition. I'd love to have contact with people who are on the same time line as me. I have worries like everyone else and some of the research also has started making me second guess my decision to get it done, but I want to th success that others have had to make my life healthier and better.
