  1. Hi. There wasn’t a message in my inbox so I thought I’d correct myself on the thread. (You can message me anytime though.) I mistakenly said to go to iTunes. Instead, go to the App Store. Click search then type in lolo. You’ll see a lot of apps that are not the app you want like games, puzzles...keep scrolling down until you see one that is health/exercise-related. One of their apps now is something like weight-control protein. Once you find one click on it. Then you’ll see dots in upper-right handside. Click on those dots and other lolo apps will appear. Sorry for my mistake. I hope you can find them now. If not, let me know please.

Where are these trolls coming from?

That’s true. Clearly @sleevedsheeren shared something with you that she thought was personal. [emoji192]

Where are these trolls coming from?

Just a thought@goldenbarbie: When people share personal, vulnerable information on the site or directly, using that information as ammunition when disagreements occur lacks empathy. To me, that’s a line I don’t cross in relationships.
  4. I like EAS Advant Edge vanilla protein powder. It can be mixed with frozen berries, peanut butter powder, yogurt, etc for additional flavors. I haven’t tried it in this brand of powder protein but, in the past, a I would add some sugar-free Jello gelatin powder for different flavors. I liked cherry the best.

    Physical Intimacy?

Hi. Because of my weight and specifically due to my large stomach, my husband and I have not been physically intimate in a very long time. Even creative positioning doesn't help and becomes embarrassing because of my size. Has anyone else experienced weight as a barrier? I'm hoping we can get back on track as I lose weight but then I think I'll have loose skin that may affect intimacy. Is there hope?

    Physical Intimacy?

I’ve always wanted a hot tub for sore muscles and you’ve just given me another reason to want one. “Water is our friend!” You said it and I believe it. Time to start saving [emoji857].
  7. My husband and daughter went to spin class awhile ago and they really liked it. My husband wasn’t in the best shape at that time so that’s really saying something. There are also lolo apps on iTunes. The company is lolo. Apps can be purchased (low cost) and viewed on phone, iPad, etc. each app runs through a series of exercises which are shown on screen. Music can be added and timed. There apps include “7 min workout,” “bootcamp,” etc. You may like those. [emoji272]

Where are these trolls coming from?

Hi @Tealael. I agree that there are trolls. I even had one. I suspected he was up to no good when I saw he never posted nor replied to anything but sent a flirty message. And I think it’s a good idea to let others know. Although likening this forum to Salem may be a reach, thank you for being positive. Our opinions differ obviously but I appreciate how considerate you are when you share your view.

Some of us are just anal about some things and not so anal about others.

Where are these trolls coming from?

Hi@Tealael. It may seem like a lot of personal attacks to you on one person, however, in reality the posts on this thread are RESPONSES to personal attacks on other members. It’s unclear to me how you may not conclude that after reading through the thread from the beginning. Although “text on a screen doesn’t always indicate tone IRL,” the tone is clear in this thread.@goldenbarbie has gone pretty low at times by taking personal information shared on other threads and bringing it up when a response is given she dislikes. Just as characters in a book are clear as individuals and have varying personalities that can be discerned based on their responses to and interactions with other characters, their tones can be expressed clearly through written word with many people noting the same tones. The tone used by the OP was viewed in the same way by many members who then backed up those who were verbally smacked by OP. So, while you may believe that the OP is being personally attacked, quite the opposite is true...she has personally attacked others. “Did you go to the gym today,” was not a harmless question because it was not asked in a polite, positive conversation. It was asked as a way to shut down those who posted responses the OP disliked. Sigh [emoji258]

Where are these trolls coming from?

There’s a lot of back and forth on this subject. I think what you’ve posted says a lot about you. Not so golden, Barbie. And, the backpedaling explaining that when you ask people about the gym it’s positive. C’mon, you’re being passive aggressive and you know it. I have a Bachelor of Psychology degree. Don’t try your psycho-babble on me.

    Getting so discouraged!

I had a stall at 3 weeks too. My weight loss has been mostly slow and steady; although there was one week where I lost 9 lbs. I have been hoping that will happen again. What you are experiencing is normal. It’s easy to become frustrated and disappointed. I’ve been there too. As you follow the plan you’ll lose weight again and you may stall again. It’s all part of the process. You’ll be okay. You will get past this stall and you’ll lose weight. Hang in there. This too shall pass. 🦋

    Low Key about Surgery

Texting about making a surgery decision - you are doing what you gotta do to get the ball rolling. I appreciate what you and your husband have done to protect my freedoms. Thank you so much. My son is in the Army. Joined when he was 18 yo and I worried about him. He's served almost 5 years and will be finished this summer. Those serving face a lot over their service time. Wishing you much success and please give your husband my thanks. [emoji253][emoji631]
  15. You look amazing and fit! And bring on the leggings, husband! Brandice like them afterall. I think it's super sweet that your husband thought of you and bought you an outfit when he was away. He has good taste. My husband is sweet at times but I can't imagine him ever picking out something for me and surprising me. You mentioned that your husband was (maybe still is?) at Army training. Thanks to both of you for making the sacrifice to enlist. My son enlisted when he was 18 years old and I was so nervous for him bc he was still young in my worldview. He's been in for almost 5 years. He'll be finishing this year. Basic is brutal! If you ever want to message about anything, I'm here. Strut...[emoji151]

Full liquid diet and pouch stretching

I hadn't eaten cottage cheese in years. Not sure why I stopped. Then I bought some when I was allowed to eat it after surgery and it was soooo good. I never quite appreciated it as much as I do now. And such a great protein source. [emoji230]
  17. That was 9 lbs. lost, just to clarify.
  18. Hi Miami. I haven't had a sleeve revision but my weight loss was slow and frustrating after vsg surgery on 12/28/17. After surgery, I lost 7 lbs, 2nd week - o, 3rd week - +1 lb. (really! lol), and then 9 lbs. 9lbs. In 1 week! I weigh every Monday. You will have more weight loss coming. It's just going to happen when it chooses to. Stick to your path to health and you'll eventually reach your goal. It will all be more than ok. [emoji471]
  19. Hi. What an achievement 90 lbs.! Great job. I can't speak as someone with long-term experience as my sleeve surgery was 12/28/17; however, I do have sugar cravings at times. I notice the cravings tend to strike when I haven't eaten yet (when I should have already eaten) and when I'm not getting my protein in bc I'm not eating on a regular basis. So focusing on reaching 80-90 grams of protein daily may help you if you are not already doing that and eating meals every 3-4 hours. I also find if I busy my mind with an activity like a jigsaw puzzle, my cravings subside. Brushing my teeth after meals and following that an hour later with drinking water helps me too. About exercise being a challenge bc of pain and fatigue issues: I really relate to that. I often think I'd be losing significantly more if I didn't have these "issues." It's tough too bc these are invisible disabilities and are often misunderstood. The pain and fatigue issues I have existed before I was overweight and I'm sure the excess weight hasn't helped. If you'd ever like to message about it, I'm here. You know what you need to do. You've got this! [emoji259]

Do we have fat on our nose?

This is great news for me because I've noticed my nose getting puffier as I got heavier. I secretly hoped that it would be less puffy as I lose weight. Good info.

    How normal is this?

Hi Mike. I'm at the beginning stages of my weight loss adventure so I haven't experienced my mind not catching up to a healthier size yet. That's really something for your son to randomly come across the photo of you together. It's really cool and it's a nice picture - frame worthy. "Frame worthy" is what I call pics that are deserving of a frame. lol You've come a long way from your heaviest weight until now and it shows in your photos. Even at your heavier weight you are attractive. Don't worry, I'm not hitting on you - Feb. 18th I'll be married 24 years. You do look different though and you look amazing. So, congratulations. You've inspired me today. [emoji120]

    I'm new!

Hi Luella and Lyds. Welcome. It's nice to hear from new members and hear how their Bariatric adventures are going. (I know Bariatric does not need to be capitalized but my keyboard insists. lol) I had gastric sleeve on 12/28/17 and everything went great. I'm here if you need support. [emoji250] @kakatlady612 is an amazing person, very caring and funny.
