  1. it took me a long time to grow my hair back after all the surgery hair loss. Hairdresser screwed up my Hair, Now It’s way too short and I just want to cry. It will grow back. But damn. I'm in a pitty party.

It'll grow back and I'm sure you still look great!

  2. Excited! Only 10lbs away from being considered just "overweight" on the BMI chart instead of "obese". While I don't heavily rely on sticking to the "BMI" guidelines because every BODY is different, it still feels like an achievement! Also, our vacation to Ireland only 20 days away. Working hard to drop these last 11lbs before the trip to be back in the "100's"! Time will tell :) Hope everyone is happy and healthy!!!

  3. This is completely unreal but two days in a row now I have seen less than 200 pounds on the scale for the first time in over 15 years. I am a pound away from my first goal of 199 at 13.5 months post op. Time to set a new goal for the New Year!

  4. Absolutely refusing to buy new clothing these days. I love the wardobe I bought at 4 months post op & spent a small fortune also, so I'm tailoring everything to my new size...

I have some pre-surgery suits that they flat out refused to tailor, they said they would look awful if they did.

I'm going to stay at my current weight just to save on additional clothing costs!

Blurry when I zoom in on it (when viewing on an iPad)

  10. Dreading winter.

    1. abefroman329

      abefroman329

      Why?

I'm pissed that I had to pay full price for winter clothing - just spent $250 on sweaters that I probably could have gotten for half as much if I'd been able to wait till spring for a clearance sale.

  13. I managed to finally break my old school manual Italian espresso maker... Is this a sign?

  14. 10 months post op, 160s.

Sick (first time since surgery) because I spent time around too many sick people recently, totally worth it.

But now I'm wondering what flu season will be like 😓

  15. 9 months post op and thanks to a birthday in July and using a bad scale at a doctors office I thought I lost and gained but there was literally no change , for a month. Lol. Welcome to the slow down. Now im Focusing on self image, because I'm still dealing with body dysmorphia. Just yesterday I bought a gorgeous bra set , non returnable, and it was too big. But I think I kinda knew it was too big , I just can't stop shopping for the old me. Anyone else do dumb sh#+ like this? Lol

Not buying stuff that's too big for me, but I am spending too much on clothing that I won't wear for very long. I have a suit that I may never actually get to wear (in part because the salesman never bothered to tell me it was slightly too big for me when I bought it).

Gained 6-8 lbs this week and had to update my weight on the ticker... Really sucked. Sigh

      I’m being honest, just...not the most up-to-date. I WAS 249 a week ago, I promise! Ticker doesn’t need to know I was 250 today.

  22. Saddness .... some labs came back and my A1C is 6.4%. I was hoping that it would be in the normal range. Well, we'll see what it is like in 3 more months. The nurse practitioner at the hospital said that it is good progress. However, if in 3 months it does not get into a normal range, I'll need to go back on an oral medicine. When it rains it poors. At least, I finally got some sleep and I feel like getting up and walking around again. Anyone that thinks surgery is the easy way out is just plain ignorant. Le sigh!

    1. abefroman329

Prior to surgery, mine was in the high 5s/low 6s, but they still kept me on Janumet XR. The first A1C I had done after surgery (about two months out), it had dropped to 5.2, so they took me off the Janumet. You'll get there!
