  1. Thank you for this!!! I thought 400-600 was pretty extreme since my preop diet was also that on top of liquids only. That's a long time to be eating barely anything. There are days I freak out over eating 800 calories worried I'm eating too much until I step back and remember that compared to a "normal" diet that's still pretty low lol. I eat healthy, I just don't starve myself.
  2. Everyone is different, but definitely defer to your doctor. I'm 7 weeks out today from my Sleeved date, and my binder plan still says 400-600 calories, which I think is WAY too low, especially since I have such an easy time eating now. Most days I'm between 700-900 calories, which is perfect and satisfying for me. It says the calorie goal ups to 600-800 between months 2-6 and then it goes up to 800-1000 between 6 months and 1 year, and 1000-1200 after a year. It's a general guideline.
  3. Fantastic!! So happy for you!! You're doing awesome. I'm still on "soft" foods for 1 more week, but honestly I've been eating pretty much everything. No hard or raw vegetables, but most meats are soft enough, and I do steam veggies with them. I've tolerated foods fine, so I haven't been too strict about soft foods. Most things get soft after chewing them like 100 times anyway, right?!? Lol good luck with your transition!
  4. Hey!! Yes, the weight loss picked up a little bit, total I'm down 34 lbs since 2 week preop liquid diet, and I'm down 19 since surgery. I'll take it! How are you doing??? I'm still doing really well with tolerating foods and still no sickness, thankfully!
  5. I'm 4.5 weeks post-op and down only 16 lbs from surgery date. I've had a remarkably easy recovery, I haven't had an ounce of nausea, and everything I've eaten so far has agreed fine with me, plus I'm able to eat more than the 2-4 tbsp they say at this stage... I can eat up to half a cup already, so I hear you. I feel like this is going to make it WAY too easy to fall off the wagon at some point, so I make sure I LOG everything I eat on myfitnesspal, and I don't snack. I eat my 3 meals and get my liquids in, which helps keep me at the 600 calorie goal right now. I almost wish I had more complications to keep me from splurging, but I'm overly grateful that I haven't had any complications at all!!!!! It just means we have to work a little harder to keep ourselves on track. 22 lbs is great, keep it up!!
  6. Great job! Good for you! I know it tends to come off a lot easier and faster for men. I'm in awe of your 40 lbs!! That's fabulous. I returned to work 2 weeks after surgery. Thankfully, I have a desk job, so it's easy enough for me to get my liquids and protein in. I can't imagine how people do it with busier jobs on their feet. Keep it up!

    When does nausea stop?

Thankfully, I've never had an ounce of nausea, I was Sleeved 11/28. My husband battled with it, though, for the first couple of weeks. Hang in there. I hope it goes away soon
  9. I'm with you!!! Also Sleeved 11/28 and in a stall, so frustrating! This past week I only lost 1 lb. Annoying when you're eating such minimal calories. I've only lost 12 since surgery but 27 total since starting my liquid diet 2 weeks pre-op. Just gonna keep on going! I've been hitting my protein, so not sure what's up.
  10. Hi all! I'm new to the site. I had the Sleeve done 11/28/17, and I'm wondering who else had theirs done on or around that date and how you're doing? I had to do the 2 week liquid pre-op diet, so in the total 4 weeks that I was on liquids pre and post op, I lost 26 lbs. I'm on mushed foods now, I'm 3 weeks post-op today and down 12 lbs since surgery, and the weight loss is slowing like crazy. I'm getting so frustrated, even though I know I shouldn't be so focused on the scale. I'm eating 400-500 calories a day and hitting my liquid and protein goals. I feel like the scale should be zooming downward!!!! This past week I lost 1 lb. ONE POUND! Come oooon!! Lol Just curious how others are doing! So far I've had absolutely NO nausea since surgery, and I've tolerated all of the mushy foods I've eaten *knock on wood!*.
