I have been living on both sides of the border for 8 years and get all my healthcare in Mex.
I had my sleeve done in Mexicali by Dr Juan Francisco Arellano. I am receiving excellent care by Dr Arellano and his team. I had my sleeve done on 12/20/17 after care up to one year is completely covered in the cost of the surgery. I am able to reach the surgeon directly if needed 24/7. Dr Arellano is very dedicated to the success of each patient.

I think divorce after wls would be more prevalent in a co-dependent relationship. Roles change and insecurities arise causing all sorts of issues.

I had the same issues I now eat 3 prunes every other day and things seem to be moving fine now. I also noticed if I do 45 minutes on the treadmill it helps to wake up the bowels.
I know I know omg all the sugar in the prunes...it works and it is natural so I am ok with it.

I was sleeved by Dr. Arellano with Mexico Bariatric Team in Mexicali. Wonderful surgeon and great team of people. His surgery price includes one year of follow ups and he is available night and day with any issue question or concern you may have.
I had my surgery 12/20 without complications.

I am 4 weeks almost 5 out and have a super strict NUT. She has me on full liquids at least until the 31st of this month.
I am going crazy seeing people say at 2 or 3 weeks they are on soft food.< br>This too shall pass.

I was sleeved Dec 20th and I seem to be in a stall. So frustrating but apparently it is normal. I think I will stay off the scale until I see my NUT on 1/31.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be snippy. Old habits from forum arguments in the past...lol. Used to get into it with people that would just post a random link as proof. It's frustrating sifting through all the info out there. In the end we have to just figure out what works for us individually.
Cheers!

The article states exactly what you are saying it is a suppressant but by being a suppressant and causing you to skip a meal or burn off an enormous amount of energy in the end it could have the opposite effect because your body is now in starvation mode.
No problem and thank you. I think I should have been more descriptive in my first post.

That's why I added that for some it may have the opposite effect. My point is that the general consensus is that it acts as a suppressant. As with virtually any medical subject we can trade hyperlinks all day long where one contradicts the other. Something from the mayo Clinic holds more Water than a random blog.
I was not debating just adding information to the thread. Have a good day!

The issue with caffeine is it can cause an increase in appetite.

Yes, mine was:
Days 1 and 2 (day 1 was surgery day) - clear liquids
Days 3-14 - full liquids
Days 15 and 16 - pureed foods
Days 17-28 - very soft foods
Days 29-42 - soft foods
Days 43+ - general diet
I'm considering starting soft foods this weekend (should start on Wednesday the 17th) bc I've tolerated else I've tried and I'm starving eating only very soft foods.
I had my surgery on 12/20 Clear Liquids the first 14 days and than full liquids for 28 days...she said next appt 1/31 she will see about adding pureed.
I tried 2 oz of tuna 21 days out and had no issues but she was not happy.
I have no energy and getting frustrated.

I had my sleeve done in Mexicali. I have lived in both TJ and Mexicali it is not as crazy as the news makes it out to be. I have had better care in Mexico than I have by US doctors.
Good luck and much success.

I was dead set on doing Keto after surgery and my surgeon and nutritionist are not totally supportive. They both explained that our bodies do not absorb the nutrients in food the same after surgery and because we take in smaller portions we do not want to exclude healthy food groups. They believe a well balanced diet is a healthier option. But of course number 1 rule eat Protein first.
Me personally I believe whatever works for you and makes you happy healthy and successful on your journey is what is right for you.
