Yes....I did...and I did again on my 2nd day post op...(that was my worse day)...but starting day 3 till now (day 13) I don't regret 1 min.... I'm down 28 lbs (including the 6 lbs I gained in hospital from all the IV fluids...you pee this out quickly).... You won't regret your choice in a few more days... Hang in there... YOU got this!!

Getting a little nervous, but still excited to start this journey.... My 10 day pre op diet is going well...lost 8 lbs as of yesterday... Today is all liquid....I'm good with that...I had fiance take pre op pics tonight...(not my favorite thing...) I also downloaded the Baritastic App to track progress, tips etc... is alcohol really that important that you would risk having a possible complication during surgery?

she's crazy. 1) very few bypass patients have terrible side effects 2) almost all surgeons do the sleeve. It's currently the most popular form of WLS. I'd switch PCPs!

Switch doctors. Your doctor is out of date...which doesn't speak well of her keeping up on her continuing education. My doctor's been asking me to consider WLS for over 10 years. So far, so good.

I had to do that. I switched PCP, I like my new PCP much better It's nice when all your doctors work together!

Yes. Switch PCs (or at least that’s what I would do). That’s BS.

I would get a second opinion from another doctor.

I'm using Bariatric Advantage, vanilla and banana flavors. Per my Dr., I can add 1/2 small banana or 2 tbs PB2 Peanut Butter with chocolate Protein Powder. (or 1 tbs natural peanut butter) I add 10 oz 1% milk, blend in blender, add 4 ice cubes...blend on high 1 min and its a pretty good milkshake... I'm on 3 shakes daily and a small high Protein LOW carb meal daily .... I've not yet had my meal today, as I'm stuffed from the shakes....

Thank you KCRN.... I know 1 piece of chocolate is not going to blow my entire diet, but the feeling like a complete failure sucks. I called my Dr. office, and they said I will be fine, just stick with it from here on out....

I think I felt similarly to you, and that feeling really is awful. I cheated on my pre op once too. Didn't feel too great about it, which is what kept me from doing it again. Just let this bad feeling be your guide, you don't want to cheat. I think if you stick to your diet from here on out you'll be fine.

Thats sucks about ur friends. She is just worried and doesn't understand how beneficial the surgery really is

I'm scheduled for December 18th.... Dr. Oldham, in Louisville KY at Baptist East Hospital..(my first appointment was the end of June 2017. Insurance approved after 4 months supervised diet.) Surgery was put off a month due to a trip out of country at the end of November.).... I'm on my 10 day diet (3 shakes and 1 small high Protein, low carb meal daily.).... I'm excited and nervous all at the same time... But ready to win this weight loss journey once and for all.... Best of luck to you all!!!
