That’s great! I have tried each time we changed Insurance finally this year our new insurance will cover it. I have my scope this coming Friday and it is the last thing to do. Once completed they will send everything off for approval. Fingers crossed I will get the answer this month and by the end of next month i’ll Be scheduled for surgery

awesome!!! i have my scope this Friday too and then the insurance should be sent in as well! I am hoping on the same time frame too for my surgery!

That is what the surgeon suggest based on my weight....283 and my weight loss goal is 150. I would be fine weighing 170-180, but he asked me what I would ideally like to weight. I see a lot have the sleeve. I have a friends who had G Bypass 9 years ago and has gained some back, Nothing like she was before though. She knows a lot of people who has had WLS due to going to a lot of support groups over the years and she says she wishes she had chosen the DS due to the fact that it seems to be very successful in keeping the weight down. Why did you chose the Loop? I don't know much about that one. It's not listed as a choice on the website or all the paperwork in a big binder they gave me.

Me too Elaine! my goal weight is 140 ... Have to do my endoscopy this Friday and then i await for the insurance approval! when is your surgery?

  4. Hi glamgirl, fireman in Greenville will be so,happy to see another North Carolinian on here. Where in that beautiful state are you located? My daughter and her husband lived for a short in Roanoke Rapids in Halifax County. I hope your stuggles, with BCBS are small and over soon. I'm in Central Ohio and will, have RnY within the next 6 weeks. I've done a lot of studies and would be happy to be a resource person for you on this journey. Sunny Days and a Bright,Future for you.

  5. hello all, I am new to this forum and live in North Carolina . my first consultation was in November 2017 , I am in pre-op status now... I ahve finished all the stuff on the checklist...I just have the endoscopy to do and then we submit everything to BCBS of NC for approval ... hoping I do not have to wait 12 months ... I have been working with my primary doctor for 2 plus years, trying medical diets, etc... and she has vouched for me and has provided me with her letter of recommendations and all the documentation stating my attempts of dieting. I am wondering if this can count towards the 12 months so I don't have to wait.. Any input would be greatly appreciated! :)
