Still on clear liquids after a week? Are you feeling hungry at all?

  2. Just joined this page. I am 64 years old and I am 2 appointments away from scheduling my surgery.  Looking forward to this big step. Any words of wisdom

Hello and welcome, if you haven't already maybe post on the forums here as you are likely to get more responses than in a status update.

  3. I may sound crazy but I need to know how to gain a little weight back after gastric bypass I’m to small and can’t stop losing

      Hello

My guess would be to add calorie dense food such as nuts, good fats, etc...but you may get a better response or a more tailored respone from the main boards https://www.bariatricpal.com/discover/unread/?&stream_unread_links=1&stream_classes[IPS\forums\Topic]=1

  4. Hi Everyone, I`m new to the group. I`m having my gastric sleeve done on March 9th, 2021.... is there still a chatroom on this site? I`d really love to chat with some folks.

  5. Somehow, even in spite of the pain after every meal, I can't seem to get myself to eat more slowly.  I want to eat slowly, but my brain still gets frantic whenever it's food time.  I'm afraid I might be stretching my sleeve, which could be dangerous at only 1 month since surgery.  Don't know what to do other than just go back to liquids, but I can't stay there forever!

Have you tried the usual strategies? Putting down knife and fork between bites and leave there until about 30 seconds after you've swallowed the previous mouthful. Deliberately slowing down the chewing and counting each chew until 30 or 40?

  6. Hi i'm dorijae, and into my pre-op evals, still undecided as to sleeve or bypass, but thinking bypass.  Happy to see this support group.  Have read some of the blogs on surgery, etc.

  7. This is going to sound really freaking weird but I feel like I am in the twilight zone ... like this is all a bad dream I am going (or hoping) to wake up from. I hate food! I mean I fscking hate it! It tastes like saw dust ... I am never hungry and never have a desire to eat. Eating hurts and no one knows really WTF is going on. I mean they think the cause of this is the stomach ulcer but what if all this stuff heals up and I am still messed up? I am down 60 pounds and almost 6" from my heaviest but I could care less. I sleep but it feels like I get none at all. When I wake up even though my stupid CPAP says, "Hey dumbass! You had less than 1 apnea an hour. GTFU!" It's supposed to be really easy to find work because unemployment is low, yet I keep getting turned down for work. At this point, I am like what next?

Assuming you've started your course of antibiotics for the ulcer bug, which I understand is a triple whammy, I can only imagine what they are doing to your taste buds and gut. They are not only killing off the bad bacteria they are killing off the good. Hope its all resolved for you soon. https://www.rxlist.com/prevpac-side-effects-drug-center.htm
