    Am I losing my mind...

He is very controlling in all aspects of your life, it may not feel like it to you but this is an abusive relationship even though there isn't any violence. Please reach out to a trusted family member or friend if you are able to or contact a women's help group in your area.

    Surgery without anesthesia

Is it even an option to do such a surgery without anesthesia?
  3. Has the hospital given you any painkillers? Do the staff know you are in significant pain?
  4. A difficult time for you. It isn't all that long since your surgery perhaps you'd be better off doing liquids for the next few weeks as opposed to chicken. With liquids think of the consistency that would pass through a straw. This would allow time for you to recover and your stomach to heal from the surgery. I know there are lots of different protocol after surgery depending on the surgeon, but giving yourself to heal would be beneficial. You could tackle pureed/soft foods in a week or two. Did your surgeon give a list of soft foods? Do you have a dietician who is knowledgeable about weight loss surgery? If not, it would be to your benefit to link up with one. Right now your priorities would be fluids and protein. You do not want to become dehyrdated and your body needs the protein to assist in the healing and to help maintain lean body mass.

    Not sure

I doubt you will gain fat from that (as long as you get back on track immediately), but you may gain a little temporary fluid weight if it is high in carbs. I am assuming this is not on your post op food guidelines (otherwise you wouldn't be so worried)? Please make sure you do get back on track immediately, its a slippery slope if you continue to eat off plan at this early stage.
  6. I came across these exercise videos (provided by the UK NHS - National Health Service, nil charge), there is a good range of cardio, resistance, yoga, pilates, even a belly dance video. Some of the pilates and yoga videos are geared towards those with specific health issues eg arthritis. A lot are for beginners, and it doesn't look like much, if any, equipment is needed. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/nhs-fitness-studio/

    Could i smoke after 1 month ?

https://healthywa.wa.gov.au/Articles/S_T/Smoking-and-surgery Smoking makes recovery harder by: stressing your heart affecting your blood pressure reducing oxygen in your blood and body tissues damaging your lungs. By stopping smoking well before surgery you will be more likely to have a faster recovery, better wound healing, a shorter stay in hospital and be less likely to need further surgery

    Pre op diet

Probably a few. Is it because you were genuinely hungry?

    Stopped feeling full

How long since your surgery? What are you eating now and at what volumes?

    Exercise is a Must

Eliptical can be hard work even for those who don't have limitations. I know you are walking around the house but is that just incidental...as in only doing what you need to to get from room to room? Or is deliberate exercise? If deliberate exercise can you take it outside for 10minutes (or whatever it is that goes beyond what you can currently do), go beyond just a minute or two and build on from there? What about swimming is that an option for you? Water aerobics a possibility? If mobility is the issue, what about some handweights and ankle weights that will help build some strength and as the weight drops hopefully you will have some more mobility to exercise beyond what you would be doing. Is an exercise physiologist available to you? They are great for people who have health or physical limitations in their exercise capabilities and design programs around that.
  11. If you are healthy enough to have plastic surgery you are never too old for it! When my sister was having a tummy tuck there was a lady in her ward who was in her early 70s having breast implants. She told my sister she had always wanted them (and the face lift she had done some months before) and could finally afford them, she was healthy and active so she decided she was going for it.

    Gastric sleeve 12/13/19

It hasn't been on a soft food list I've seen but that's not to say it isn't on some food lists. Is it on the food list your doctor gave you? Rice may be too high in carbs for you at the food stage you are at.
  13. Hop_Scotch

    Stuck

Sounds horrid! If you are still experiencing the same and/or vomiting perhaps you should contact a doctor if you haven't already.

    Why am I not losing?

Have you transitioned to soft foods or normal foods? A lot of people stall as they progress through the post op phases.

    Coughing after eating

    Could be your full signal??

    Overstitch procedure

I have an ESG (not as a revision) and am very happy with the result. This is a copy and paste from my doctor's ESG FAQ https://bmiclinic.com.au/endoscopic-sleeve-gastroplasty-faq/ Can I have an ESG following a gastric balloon, gastric sleeve or gastric bypass? ESG following gastric balloon: Recent research has revealed that people who’ve had a gastric balloon do less well following ESG in terms of weight loss. For this reason, we do not recommend ESG to anyone who’s has previously had a gastric balloon. ESG following gastric sleeve: Endoscopic revision of a gastric sleeve is possible, however the weight loss that results is only approximately 10% of the baseline weight. There are likely more effective options which you can talk through with your Bariatric Specialist. ESG following gastric bypass: Endoscopic suturing is possible via a procedure called TORe, Transoral Outlet Revision.
  17. Nope never heard of such a thing, if fact I would have thought that some seafood may help keep skin in general, can't see how it would impact negatively on scars though - oily fish.

    Back to normal life?

You may need to explain your normal...because do you want all aspects of your life to go back to the way life was? Weight loss is intended to change your life in a good way: fat loss, improve health, eating and drinking less and healthier. Not all aspects of your life will change but some is very likely to or should. Is there a a particular aspect of your current life that you don't want to change but it may due to weight loss surgery?
  19. How long after surgery? Did a doctor say the passing out was directly related to weight loss surgery? Was your friend drinking enough fluids? Eating sufficient calories for the post op stage she was at?
  20. Hop_Scotch

    Masturbation

No reason why not...you can be as vigourous or not as you choose.
  21. Follow your doctor/surgeon's post op guidelines - don't be tempted to have bite of anything within a couple of days or weeks of your surgery if its not within the guidelines.

11 days post op (gastric sleeve)

You haven't been advised of what you can and can't take before now? What anxiety meds hae you been prescribed? I assume your surgeon knows you have been prescribed these meds?

I'm really worried. Is this normal?

Sorry to hear you are going through a rough time. Are you still on liquids, if so, what liquids and at what volumes? If not, what foods are you consuming and at what volumes? Have you touched base with your surgeon regarding the pain?
