    Preventing Pouch Stretching

I liked him when I first came across his videos, but then he started to flog dodgy health products and trying to gain distributors for them (MLM) from his followers...a big no no as far as I am concerned. Some of his ad hoc videos showed an increasingly frantic man who seemed to have lot the plot. His job now seems to be marketing himself (doesn't do weight loss surgery anymore) and marketing his workshops / conferences which seem to have a 'making a lot of money' with MLM theme.

    TOO SKINNY!!!

With exercise six days a week and depending on the intensity you need to up your calories to at least maintenance if you don't want to lose more weight. If you want to increase your weight a little you need to eat above maintenance calories. Aside from the suggestions above, some healthy good fats wouldn't go astray.

    7 wks today

Give it time, it can up to two years for skin to contract as much as its going to...which still may leave you with a bit of wobble but at your start weight it may not or just a little if so. Water is good, and exercise once you are able to to.

    Is it wrong ?

Weight loss isn't necessarly all about health, its about how we look and feel too. Know that sometimes a low high school weight isn't achievable for some (a lot?) of people. At that age people haven't fully developed and their weight is that of a teenager not an adult. For instance I kind of get a feeling your goal weight is 100lb or perhaps less. At your height 100lb gives a BMI of 17.7 which is actually underweight, so a goal weight less than 100lb would put you more underweight.

Inquiring minds want to know what word you used in search to find this five year old thread

    Slow losers club

When you average out your weight loss it isn't necessarily slow, though it may seem so in comparison with some others who have quite high losses. How many calories are you currently eating? If three classes equate to 1350 calories per week, why not average that out to an extra 200cals per day added to your current calorie per day total... for example if currently eating 800cals per day eat 1000cals. You could try the dietician's way for 4 to 6 weeks see how you go? Note that initially you will likely gain weight but that should only be temporary.

    Slow losers club

1200 calories seems high at this post op stage. What type of workouts are you doing? This thread may be of some use to you, hopefully you will find some relevant support and information there.
  8. Great tips for any occasion, thanks
  9. Hi Ken, Here is an example from today, spam post appears in unread content, but on opening the post to report the spam, the post has been removed.
  10. I was wondering if it were possible to remove from view removed spam posts. Though removed they are still visible to read in the unread content but when clicking on the threads they were posted in they are not there (as should be the case).
  11. Unfortunately the body isn't a machine, many other factors to be considered when it comes to weight loss even when on low calories. You won't lose weight all the time and sometimes there are gains. At a guess, its likely hormonal or body taking time to adjust hydration levels. A lot of the inital weight loss was likely fluid and your body became dehyrdated. When the body dehydrates it hangs on to the fluid for a while. If the weather is hot you could also be retaining fluid because of that. Keep going you are doing well, won't be long before your surgery, hope it all goes well for you.

    Well done so far!
  13. Hi Ken, it does happen frequently. I will do some more screen shots next time I see it happening.

    Fullness on full fluids

Yes its normal, your stomach has healed a little, some of swelling will have gone down. Once you get onto pureed, soft and then normal foods you should feel the restriction.

    Consultation

Hope it all goes well for you.
  16. Have you actually counted how many calories you are consuming in total from foods and the calorie drinks? If you think your weight loss is slow its because you are very likely consuming a lot more calories than you should be for the post op stage you are at. Is your nutritionist actually a bariatric nutritionist?
  17. This is the filter I use to read the forums, obviously once I have read a thread it drops off the list until a new post has been posted in the thread. https://www.bariatricpal.com/discover/unread/?&stream_unread_links=1&stream_classes[IPS\forums\Topic]=1 It is the same when the spam post is the first in a thread, once the spam post is removed, the view is still in unread content, but when I click on the post so as i can report it, the post has actually been removed.
  18. I know what a journal is, but not specifically a bullet journal so I did some googling, Interesting concept. For anyone who doesn't know what a bullet journal is this may help https://www.tinyrayofsunshine.com/blog/bullet-journal-guide

    PAIN, 8 DAYS POST OP

Sorry to hear you are still suffering with pain. Was the doctor you saw your surgeon? If not, it may be worthwhile touching base with the surgeon see if its its anything to be worried about or not.

    Cheated and disgusted

Vegemite an Australian speciality....something you have to try from a young age.....for those who have it later in life its pretty disgusting. I first tried it when I was 12, after we migrated to Australia. It wasn't pleasant at all. A bit like marmite or promite but seems to be a whole stronger in taste.
  22. It is very common to keep weight loss procedures private, you will find many posts here about the same thing.

    Need No gym options

Fitness Blender have a wide range of free fitness videos. https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos
  25. I think you have untentionally been consuming a lot more calories than you think you have...regular gatorade and powerade do have a lot of calories and sugar in them. Two bottles of 600mls gatorade for instance has nearly 300cals and 66 grams of sugar. The sugar is probably playing havoc with your insulin levels too. I think once you reduce the gatorade and powerade that you will find your weight loss will improve.
