I was right on the line. BMI of 40. It depended on the time of the day. My understanding, is that there are no appeals, after third denial and you have to wait 90 days to start the whole process over. I may be wrong. Obesitylaw.com, charged me 450 dollars. I was banded on the 21st of May. For me, it was money well spent. From my referral to my surgery was about 13 months. Haved you tried country ham(it is salt cured in the south.) I swell up like a blow fish!! Again, good luck. Let me know if you get approved.:cursing:

I was denied twice. Hired an attorney from obesitylaw.com. Finally was approved. I was on the line for weight, but had comorbidities. I was banded 5/21. Good luck!

I am surprised at the small fills. I have had two, 5cc and 1.5 and have a small amount of restriction. My next fill is the 18th of August and I am going to plead for a larger fill. My sister was banded two weeks prior to me and has all the restriction she needs. It is a tool, but in my opinion if it is not restricting, it is not a tool! My Dr. wouldn't give me a larger fill, because I had lost some weight. He said this was proof that I had restriction. It is only proof that I am thinking about everything that passes my lips! AAAUUUGGGHHH!!!!!!! I am losing about a half a pound a week. AAAUUUGGHHH! Oh well, good luck. I think we have to really advocate for ourselves to get the fills we need.

Personally, I do not like fake plants outside. Several people around me do it and I can definetly tell. I had never seen it before and really do not understand it, but of course that is only my opinion. Plus fake ones will not attract butterflies, ladybugs or birds.......

:thumbup: Who had a pre op diet? Did you stick to it? Did your Dr. get upset? Did they know? I am having a hard time. If I was good at dieting, would I need a band?

It took me two appeals and a whole lot of fighting, to get approved. I started in February 2007. Only six mores days till I get banded. I think it is different for everyone. Good luck!
