    Still in liquid only phase.
I’ve managed to get down somewhere between 60-70 ounces of Fluid daily (not counting Fluid ingested with proteins) and I’m getting between 2-3 “proteins” daily in the form of Soup or shake.
Still have 8 more days until I’m allowed to eat anything pureeed

I'm right where you are. Surgery was on the 4th, i'm getting about 60 ounces of fluid and then the 3 shakes a day. I'm ready to eat something though other than liquids! :)

  2. How are my early Feb sleevers? I had VSG on Feb 4th, feeling pretty good today. Still have incision pain, but if I wear an abdominal binder during the day it seems to help. I'm doing pretty good getting liquids in, I just get pain when I take too big of sips........still learning :)

I didn't exepct to feel hungry though! I'm hungry all day long! And not head hunger, because I actually feel hungry enough to eat a vegetable LOL I have one more week of being on liquids until i can move to pureed foods, i can't wait :) My stomach has been making some really interesting sounds though. My kids can hear it across the room :)

    Hope everyone is doing good!!

  3. Just curious what to expect for the first 2-3 weeks post-op. I'm day 2 post-op, still sore and still have gas pains from surgery, but I'm hoping every day will get better! I'm so afraid to drink too much Water or Protein Shakes and then get sick, but I want to make sure I'm hydrated.

I have a desk job and was planning on going back on Monday which will be one week post-op. Am I crazy to think that? Am i going to feel OK just after a week's time of rest at home?

Just wondering how everyone else's experience was :)

Follow the liquid diet plan your drs have given you. I'm so happy I did. I had my surgery yesterday with no complications. It only took an hr and half. I'm extremely sore but I'm doing great. I will be released today. My dr was so pleased with how far I've come and in my recovery. My throat is sore so I've had popcicles and ice cold Water. That helps so much. I had some discomfort with heart burn in my chest and grogginess from anesthesia. I'm still pretty high from the pain killers they have given me so I hope this helps and makes sense lol Good luck guys! I'm in the biggest loser club!!

Hi! I just had surgery on Monday, and I would agree that I'm sore and my throat is sore but other than that I feel OK. I have gotten nauseous a few times if I've tried to take my meds or Vitamins to quickly together.

Are you on liquid diet now again for 2 weeks post op? I am. I'm just trying to sip Water and drink Protein Shakes. We will see how it goes today :)

    Sounds like an amazing trip!

I wasn't allowed to swim/bathe for 6 weeks while until my incisions were fully healed. I recommend asking your surgeon. The Water activities may be too much for your stomach as it requires a lot of core. Definitely a surgeon question.

    It should be!!!

Thanks for the info - I will definitely ask the questions at my next appointment.

  6. Hola peeps! I have a Mexico vacation planned for a friends 40th birthday in December and I will be about 8 weeks post-op by then. I'm debating on whether I should reschedulee and wait until after the trip and the holidays or not? I know that there will always be something that I have planned; it's not that I would delay for that reason. I just want to be able to kayak, jet ski and snorkel and be active for the week and also not have to pack baby food or have issues finding what I can eat. It is all inclusive, so I'd miss out on the drinking I guessing 8 weeks out but that's ok :)

Trip has been planned since last winter - there are over 40 people going and several celebrations throughout the week, so it won't be a relaxing week by all means. Lots of activity and lots of celebrating...

Just looking for some advice on how people felt 8 weeks out; am I worrying about something that isn't a big deal, assuming surgery and healing goes as planned? What would you do if you were in this situation?
