  1. The meetings are the second Tuesday at 6:30pm in Dr K's waiting room.
  2. I was actually referring to evcase who said "Now that you said to not take them both, I am sure tonight will be much better." My post was directed to that person... not to you.
  3. Sorry. I'm not gonna play the pick apart the posts game. Good luck to you.
  4. If I was having reflux issues you bet your sweet patootie I would ask my doc before I took an aspirin. Just because you can buy something at WalMart without an RX doesn't mean you shouldn't consult your doctor.
  5. I am just sitting her with my mouth hanging open shaking my head. I cannot believe what I am reading! I think it is RECKLESS to even suggest someone should unfill themselves. That's why we all have doctors for crying out loud! I know my doctor has someone available in my area 24/7 if I was ever to need an emergency unfill..... I would NEVER EVER attempt it myself and I have medical training! What's next? We all start prescribing ourselves our own drugs? Holy crap. :faint:
  6. Geeesh... about time he is gone! Peace out San-gina!
  7. No offense to bubblebutt but I would discuss your meds with your DOCTOR before you start not taking them because of what someone on a message board told you. Just my opinion.
  8. Alex is updating the site... you are experiencing a "bug" that he is working on. Be patient!
  9. Congrats to all you newly banded mamacita's!! Sounds like everyone is doing well. I am rapidly approaching my one year bandiversary.... time sure does fly!! I don't post much anymore but if I can help you with anything feel free to PM me anytime! I want to keep up with all of you crazy Dr K bandsters!
  10. Is the leak in your band or in your port/tubing? I thought I read some time back about another patient with this doctor having a similar complication. I had to have my port/tubing replaced because of a leak. It wasn't that bad!
  11. Sounds to me like gas pains or abdominal muscle pain from the surgery. Walk as much as possible and a heating pad might help! Good Luck!
  12. Another lovely LBT thread I see. Why must everything turn so ugly? Why can't we agree to disagree and move on? Why must we argue EVERY SINGLE POINT TO DEATH?? Geez....... For the record... I do agree with some of the OP's points. Does that mean I'll get flamed now?? Peace.
  13. Tater! OMG girl! I just read this thread this morning (I'm not online much on the weekends). You have been through quite the ordeal my friend. Your situtation has reaffirmed to me (again!) that I made the right choice with Dr K. He really cares about each and every one of us, doesn't he? Woof... Welcome to bandland girly!! The opsite over the incisions itched me like the dickens... try some benadryl! Dynamo... you are in my thoughts! post when you can and let us know how you are! spa-chic... congrats on your surgery date! I hope I didn't miss anyone. You all make me so proud!! :clap2:

    I DESPISE Howard Stern.
  15. My advice? Find a new doc FAST. What if you have a complication?? Will you be made to feel guilty?? Run away!!
  16. Hey Maysters!! As a fellow Mayster (2006) just wanted to pop over and say hi and congrats to you all!!
  17. Kim... maybe try upping your protein, cutting down your carbs to 100 and see if that helps!
  18. I am always astonished when I come across threads like this. Why on earth would you WANT your band to be so tight you can't eat solid food? I would be terrified that I was setting myself up for a slip or erosion. Just my opinion.
  19. Woof and Tater.. you girls are in my thoughts today! As far as before pics go... you will hate how the before looks now but in a few months you will love to be able to look back on it and see the changes. I say DO IT for sure!
  20. How much is your surgery Mysticstar?
  21. I think it's very common for restriction to "disappear" suddenly. As you lose weight the fat pad around your stomach gets smaller, hence the band is looser. Can you call your doc for a fill?
  22. I can only eat deli turkey if I get the cheaper, moister turkey directly from the deli. Never had a problem with roast beef though... maybe try that?
  23. I had my first fill at 4 weeks. Different docs have different ways of thinking I suppose!
  24. I guess I'm in the miniority here but from reading your post your friend doesn't sound "ignorant" she sounds concerned for you. I think addiction transference is a very real thing and I read the article in People myself. I didn't find it to make sweeping generalizations about all WLS patients suddenly having a new addiction. Maybe there was more to your conversation than you posted, by from where I sit (and read) it sounds like she was concerned for her friend. Just my opinion.
  25. Sheila! A reunion would rock!! I would LOVE to meet all of you guys!
