  1. Yay alicat!!! Congrats!! 50 pounds less of you feels great, doesn't it??
  2. I was thinking this EXACT same thing.
  3. In one word... YES! There are times that I wish I could just stuff my face like the old days. I realize now what a comfort food was to me and am working on other sources to fill that void.
  4. Here ya go! See ya'll there! http://www.lapbandtalk.com/may-bandsters-march-t30757.html?p=406876#post406876
  5. March already?? Where has it all gone? We are now heading into 10 months if banding and I see some of us have reached goal already! Congrats Neal! You rock dude!! I am now officially down 72 pounds. 208! 9 more pounds to onderland. March is going to be good to me.... I can feel it! Last May I was wearing size 22 pants and 3x tops. Today I am wearing size 16 skinny fit cords from Old Navy and a size XL top. The cords are being held up by a belt and this may be one of the last times I am able to wear them I am afraid. I do have some 14's that I can fit into very comfortably now! I am wearing a bunch of my hubbys sweaters and jackets as all of mine are huge on me now. Men's L fits me great! I have been struggling the past week or so with life in general. As some of you know I injured my knee almost 4 weeks ago at derby practice. That has really kept me down. I haven't been able to practice or do much of any form of excercise. I had planned on getting into the gym starting last week and working on the stationary bike and doing some strengthening on my knees but I cam down with a terrible flu bug that wiped me out for a whole weel. I missed most of the week from work and barley had enough energy to make it to the bathroom from bed and back. My eating has slowed considerably to the point my hubby is concerned that I am not getting in enough calories. I have appeased him by adding a Protein drink to my daily diet and I admit, it makes me feel better. I am going to see my ortho doc today about my knee and hope to be back on skates next week. I think that alone will greatly improve my general well being. I will get some new pics posted ASAP!!! Peace.
  6. Ooops! I'm slacking! Off to make a new March thread right now!
  7. Kim..... I can soooo relate to your stomach bug! I ahve been fighting a virus since last week and on Monday I had the pukey part. I called my doc right away and he got me a script for phenegran so I didn't puke. Today I am coughing and I am still running a fever. I am here at work but not for long I'm afraid.
  8. Congrats and welcome Derick!! :clap2:
  9. Yay for that! How much of a fill did you get?
  10. Interesting.... Did he hit your port pretty easily?
  11. I understand EXACTLY what you are saying about being afraid of being too tight sherry! I have the same fear. For that reason I only have 2.5cc's in my band currently and I am VERY conservative with my fills. I have reached a level of restriction now that I am very happy with. I can eat a little less than a cup of food at a time and no bread what so ever (which is good for me since I am an addict!). I think if I was any tighter at this point I might panic that I'm not able to eat enough. Hang in there girl!

    Dr Kirshenbaum in Denver.... $9950.00.
  13. Hey Jenea!!! I have heard of Dr Johnell. In fact, I called his office when I was researching surgery but at that time he was mostly doing bands on people with insurance. I went with Dr K in Aurora and it has been great! (I was self pay) Also... I grew up in Longmont but now live closer to Denver. Let me know if I can do anything to help! Peace.
  14. Congrats Neal! You made it to goal in record time my friend. I hope to see you at the finish line soon!
  15. Hey kids!! I am still here... gimping away. A guy I work with started calling me R2-D2 yesterday from my limp. I promptly threw a bottle of Water at him. That will teach him! I am going to my first EVER roller derby bout tonight and can't wait. it's going to be a blast! I'll have my hubby take a pic of me in my fishnets and knee brace...lol. 3Loaves(loves)!! Sooooooooo good to see you back around here girl!! I sent you a PM. Marci... congrats on onderland.... I am JEALOUS! marz.... we will have to get together sometime when your in Denver... my neck of the woods! kim and alicia... sound slike you are doing great with your fills! I am having a "spa day" with my mom tomorrow and can't wait! Facials, massages and pedicures are just what the doctor ordered! Hope everyone has a FAB weekend!
  16. Hey May peeps! I only lost one freakin' pound this week and now I am unable to excercise for at least a week. The knee is worse than we originally thought... I will be off skates for 4-6 weeks. I have to wear a huge hinged knee brace when I'm up and a immobolizer when I'm in bed. I am so pissed and frustrated. I feel like I just got going now I'm getting knocked down again. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Thanks for letting me vent. :drama:
  17. FYI... I70 is about 10 miles or so north of Dr K's office. His office is right off of I225. As far as clothes... I wore a comfy velour track suit to surgery. I recommend something slip on with an elastic waist and a top that zips or buttons versus pull over. For me it was easier to wear slip on shoes rather than shoes I had to tie as well.
  18. Yay on your surgery date Machele! Mark... I might have to check out those papaya enzymes. I get stuck A LOT since my last fill. Even had my first PB! YIKES!
  19. I can be an honorary Canuck?? Yay! Thannks for the suggestions....keep em coming!
  20. Hey bubbles.... I just read this thread and wanted to let you know that I'm glad your sticking around. Don't let someone from an ONLINE forum bully you away from something so valuable to you. I went and read the other thread that you were attacked on and I thought you were treated pretty harshly. Keep on keepin'on girl! :clap2:
  21. Derby practice last night, doing double knee falling drills. I ended up partially tearing my MCL on my left knee. No worries! I will be back on skates within a week!
  22. As I am sitting here in a full knee immobolizer I wonder how the hell I am going to keep up this great loss I have going currently. Luckily... I should be back on skates in a week. Good luck with your fill!
  23. We have 2 dogs: Diesel our puppy has many many names. D-dog, Tiny D (he's an Austailian cattle dog and HUGE) and shithead to name a few. Kelsey is our Springer and we call her little girl, Kdog and shitball. I am ALWAYS making up new names for them. As long as you are paying attention to them they could care less what you call them!
