    November sleevers here

I have no tough love for you because I was in the same spot the last 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago I was 128 and gained back two pounds from eating like poo. I do agree though, if you focus on the protein first and re-drill that into your head, I think it'll help. That's what I've been doing and since Sunday I've lost weight already. I also had to refocus on liquids--I was NOT getting anywhere near the 64 oz a day I'm supposed to. My goal is to be AT goal by my 1 year appointment next month. Buckling down starts....well Sunday xD
  2. I was consistently pulling out hair and finding it in the shower drain from about month 4 to month 9. We're talking chunks But my hair rallied like a champ and at 11 months it's not shedding hardly at all and feels thicker again.

    Non-food rewards

I highly recommend the piercing route 😂

    Post Op Bra Size

I *think* I'm going to be sittin' pretty at a 32DD. Haven't had to go out and buy new ones again yet! Woot woot!

    Non-food rewards

I'm also in the man/pedi club when I reach milestones. Although in a pound I'll be in the piercing/tattoo club! My first tattoo...if I got a piercing that wouldn't be the first but apparently body modification is my BIG present to myself at final goal
  6. I used the pill before surgery, had to be off of it for a month after, and went back on after that month. I've changed brands/ hormone formulations twice since surgery and still have breakthrough bleeding. Apparently there is one more option/formulation I haven't tried--otherwise I'm going Nexplanon route. And if I have to do that I will go screaming and pouting and everything in between because I hate the idea of something being "implanted" in my arm...even if it can come out whenever I want.

    November sleevers here

I did it y’all! I finally started upgrading my wardrobe. Like for clothes just about at goal! Found out I’m a 6 or medium in bottoms and a small or medium in tops 😳 who ever would have thought?! I’m so pleased with how this journey is going and I hope you all are having great success too!

    Liquid diet phase.. loose stools?

Same...I definitely had some loosey goosey during my pre op diet

    Hello

    Congratulations!

    The dreaded stretch marks

I just put regular lotion (Jergens) on mine and they’re super faded now that I’m pretty far out from surgery and close to goal. I think any sort of moisturizer will help keep the skin nice and healthy 😊

    Taking Multiple Pills Post Surgery

Same as what other folks have said—still take 3-4 at a time for morning. My acid reducer helps mitigate any tummy/esophagus upset though. 😂

When will the hair loss stop?

I’m 10 months out and still pull strands out in the shower occasionally...and my brush does it too sometimes 😂 small price to pay for being 2lbs from goal now. I try to keep perspective 🤷🏼‍♀️
  13. And this was told to you by your doctor right? Yes.
  14. Three weeks out I was allowed to transition back to pills, not chewies or crushed.
  15. Anyone take this medication pre or post op? Experiences? Side effects? Weight fluctuations? just curious

    Vrylar Anyone?

Not at all, it made me giggle And I wasn't offended necessarily by the other individual, but it did kind of make it sound like that's all it's used for when I think pretty much everyone knows these types of medicines can be helpful in a variety of diagnoses. Don't want ya'll thinking I'm flying off the deep end I might end up calling my surgeon's office just to clear it with their nurses/him. The prescribing doc is thrilled about my sleeve, but admittedly doesn't know a lot about it!

    Vrylar Anyone?

It's also prescribed for other mental health concerns besides Bipolar disorder. But I don't care to disclose my personal struggle in that regard. But I know a lot of folks on here struggle with various forms of mental health concerns so thought I'd ask! My doc did say it's relatively new!
  18. Anyone had the common cold/stomach bug after WLS and have it completely knock ya on your booty? -raises hand- currently experiencing this and it is either an intense version of whatever virus, or post op sickness is just different 😂 either way...holy moly I feel terrible.

How did you pick your user name?

I am in fact a redhead and my nickname used to be Che

So Who do You Look Like?

When I had long hair I got Isla Fisher a lot. But I don't really have long hair anymore, thanks surgery!
  22. For further post op I’d say a food scale! I don’t think in ounces so having that made it easier 😂

    Bruising like crazy!

Just as a fun fact I’m 10 months post op next week and I bruise so much easier 🤷🏼‍♀️ My doc just does blood work every check in and it’s always been normal. Just a new fun thing for me I guess. But at 12 weeks out you probably won’t know that for sure yet 😂

    Depression after surgery

Im almost 10 months out. I learned to show up after the food is served with my family. Or not at all. But that’s a choice I was OK making, I’m not big on social gatherings to begin with. 🤷🏼‍♀️ In general though I can tell you many people experience post op depression including myself. But the way of addressing that is different for everyone so I’d also echo the therapist suggestion should you find it continuing on and on and even outside of food/family gatherings. Or a support group.
