  1. I had sleeve surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago. I’ve been back on birth control for about five days. I’m getting terrible cramping in my lower abdomen. It could be gas but it feels more like menstrual cramps. Anyone experience this and does anyone have a remedy. I’m really doubled over at some points. Hurts so much that I’m sweating
  2. Thank you. We have a recliner. Will try that tonight!!!!
  3. You are so strong. I know this because anyone who chooses this surgery has to have great strength. If you are exclusive with him and he didn’t come to the hospital, you deserve so much better!!! I’m five days post op and we are probably going through many of the same feelings and i know this is a brutal time to make huge changes... but you’re about to go though some amazing and positive changes. If he can’t be there for you through the tough stuff... do you really want him to be able to have the good stuff? There’s another guy out there who wants both. Praying for you and no matter what happens, you’re going to get through this and you’re going to feel amazing is every way. I know it!!!!
  4. Hi! First off... congrats!!! Three years is awesome. I’m five days out and I’m feeling great. Almost too good. Lol. I’m hungry and I’ve had no problems with any liquids.. so today, I decided to try a piece of soft cheese and then some cottage cheese. Again, no issues at all. Also had a super small bite of a cracker that I let melt in my mouth. (Did that out of curiosity honestly cause everyone seems to have such issues with water and food.) The only thing is... i don’t feel full. I could eat more but I’m not because I’m trying to stay on mostly liquids since I’m not even supposed to have the mushy stuff until Wednesday. Just wondering if this is normal? Im a little concerned that maybe it’s not working as well as it’s suppsed to? Or will things change once I’m on all solids?
  5. I’m four days out and currently on Lortab 5’s. I’m still really uncomfortable. Especially at night! I feel like if I take two of them instead of one, that it could mean way too much Tylenol throughout the day. What pain medicines were you prescribed and what dosage? I’m calling my doctor tomorrow to see if I can change it since the pain is still pretty bad.
  6. Thank you. I do find that walking during the day helps to relieve the pain in the daytime. It’s just at night where it gets severe. And the Lortab 5’s are not cutting it for me.
  7. My biggest question is... when does the pain stop and how long were you on pain meds. It seems like the pain is getting worse in some ways. Or that it just feels more sore. Just wanted some reassurance that this is normal. I’m doing really well with recovery... as long as I keep taking the pain meds. I’m walking frequently and following instructions. I’m also tolerating liquids really well. At night though, I’m waking up with sharp pains that come on their own and I’m also waking up when I move from the pain. Is anyone else going through this? My doctor recommended a mineral oil enema. I used one yesterday and it helped but didn’t stop the pain at all. I also woke up with thrush this morning. Ugh. Using some natural remedies to heal that. Thanks for the feedback
