  1. Loved eggs all my life but couldn’t do them after surgery, they were horrible in any form. 10 months later I can enjoy them again and do almost daily. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. 8th month check in I'm still about the same, down to 227 as my low,, Thinking about trying to drop other 10 to reach my ever changing goal weight.
  3. It always smells to me, i couldn't even drink it for awhile but started doing ok with them again. I never let my nose get a wiff.
  4. Did you ever try atkins before VSG? You look amazing!
  5. My surgeon said no solids day before surgery and that was it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Good job RW! My 7 month check in is same as my 6 month lol.
  7. Well keep up the good work, i started about the same as you, I got to 228 or so and have been stuck at 230 for a couple months now. Been eating what i want but need to get back to the program so to speak. Protein shakes are rough for me also, use to love them pre-surgery but they turn my stomach now also.
  8. That is a lot of weight for 3 months, good job! What does a daily meal plan look like?
  9. There is a place in california called Corral reef wetsuits, they make a now-wetsuit type shirt that works really well, to well if its warm out, cross between a wetsuit and a rash guard, i have 2 or 3 of them. I also have bought a few off ebay from a company called hardcore, they have a really nice rash guard at a good price, seems the darker colors hide a few things better than a white one.
  10. Wow you get it njgal, great storytelling and spot on with pretty much how the first portion of this journey goes. I look forward to more of how things turn out.
  11. Few wet farts, or what i would call a mini dumping
  12. Good MG, what does a daily meal plan look like?
  13. You are killing it Mike336!
  14. Only thing I regret is the damage I did to myself being overweight for 20 years, wish I did this a long time ago, who cares what co-workers,friends family think. I had many people who were negative and have totally changed their view seeing results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Kaiser with my plan I payed $200, even asked surgeon what it runs if you pay, he said about 25k Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Good luck, everything will be great.
  17. All wet, i hate to say it but what you say is all right!
  18. Yea i will use rest of chicken to make a quick soup with celery, onions, carrots, and some broth and maybe some potatoes.
  19. I couldn't drink the shakes for awhile, they just grossed me out! I have gotten over that and do 1 a day, premier just came out with a peach flavor i happened to try yesterday, so good compared to a few of the other flavors. They do not fill me up or keep me from getting hungry on a side note. My surgeon told me a shake for dinner is a great idea instead of eating. plus your sleeping so your not hungry and your body isn't working to digest food while sleeping.
  20. Sounds like some tasty little ideas you have there, thanks! I have been trying to bring back tuna in to my diet, easy to make and something i like to eat. I love Kabobs with veggies on them, getting to be summer so i will be cooking on the grill quite a bit. My go to is I get a costco rotisserie chicken once a week and make lettuce wraps with some fixings. Not making to much as of right now, guess i need to start do a few new things. i Had my favorite BBQ place last night, i was able to eat 2 ribs lol, rack will last me all week.
  21. With kaiser you take no vitamins after surgery and when you do after a few weeks and have seen surgeon chewable only. I remember him telling me DO NOT swallow pills.
  22. I did the Atkins diet so many times before VSG i can quickly grow tired of meat and veggies, but it what we signed up for, I'm going to keep trying. What is your best go to dish that you cook? Maybe i just need some new cooking ideas.
  23. Yes it does BostonWLKC , the Carb monster in me is always fighting for a cracker or some sugar laced product, the battle continues on lol, your numbers look pretty solid, nice work.
  24. I'm pretty much in the exact same boat as you, well except i haven't been eating perfect all the time, i started at 312 or so and today i was 236. Was stuck all of march and most of april so far so I went back to pretty much meat for a week and dropped another 3-4 pounds. I can tell my size is changing though, bought few pair of short a month ago and they were tight and now they are falling off.
  25. As a true overeater, my mind always gets mad when i get ready to eat something good and get full really quick, i guess the real test will come when i can actually eat more. I tell myself all the time, now is the time to work on eating habit and portion control but the mind is a powerful thing lol. I can eat quite a bit when it comes to slider food, like crackers, chips and so forth. This is my current battle, so congrats on the loss keep up the good work and enjoy not being hungry and full.
