    Hi ladies,
I am currently 16 months post op with pcos and I have lost 100 kilos.
At 12 months we were given the go ahead to try for a baby but my periods stopped. After months of testing they found I have really low estrogen due to the rapid weightloss ( apparently this is common).
We are starting induced ovulation with fsh injections next week. I'm just wondering what you eat/ate while trying to conceive or once you were pregnant?

maramirez3614 got a reaction from Samscoolmama in 16 days out from vsg left shoulder pain
I experienced the pain on my chest and not my shoulder, they did tell me it’s Bc of the Gas that was used for the surgery but the Gas went away little by little after drinking Gas X. That helped me out a lot! It took me about a week in a half to have the pain away. I had hard time farting it out but I would burp it out. Try Gas X.

Thank you! So far so good. I'm almost 9 weeks.
My dietician and High risk OB doctor are working together for my care. They have me continuing with my bariatric Vitamins (when i can keep them down) with a separate folic acid supplement. I have lost 15 lbs since finding out about the pregnancy as morning (and noon, and night) sickness is kicking my butt. Other than that the doctors think all should go well. Surprisingly my surgeon congratulated me instead of lecturing me which was a relief! I was terrified to tell him but he was happy for my husband and I. This will be my rainbow baby after 2 losses so fingers and toes crossed it works out well for me and baby both!

I haven't used this forum in forever. But wanted to check in. I ended up having my VSG surgery on 11/21/16 I was 298.6 at my first consult 4/11/16, 265.8 the morning of surgery and as of today 3 days from being 9 months post op I'm at 175!! I'm in a size 12 pant from a 24W and in either a women's L shirt or juniors XL down from a 3X! I am off all my BP meds, have tons more energy and just overall really happy I had my surgery. My new tool has been amazing.

I agree, the pain on chest in between breasts was horrible, I still have trouble with eating Bc I tend to feel like I can take one bite and when I do I suffer Bc I’m over stuffed. I have to work on that.

its now been 4.5 years since I was sleeved. my high weight was 323 lbs. my goal weight was low 180's. I did reach goal weight but over the years I realized that my desired goal weight was too low for me. now for the last 2 years ive steadily maintained a weight in the mid 190's and that appears to be where im supposed to be and im happy with that weight. today 10/1/17 I weight 195 lbs. I exercise 3-4 times a week and my choice of exercise is running. I will also be running the 2018 boston marathon and im so excited about being able to run this historic race! im running it for the jimmy v foundation for cancer research and ive committed to raising $6000 which is no easy task. if any of you have ever been affected by this terrible illness feel free to click the link after this post and make a 100% tax deductible donation to the jimmy v foundation for cancer research. every dollar donated goes to research. you will be supporting my run and a cause that affects everyone as everyone knows someone that has been affected by cancer. as far as my eating, I still have to be very mindful of what I put in my mouth. I can eat much more today than I could 2 years ago but still no where near what I could eat before having the surgery. hope everyone on their journey is doing well and feel free to ask any questions. im also attaching my before pic and a few current pics taken last week. have a great day! heres my donation link for anyone willing to support this wonderful cause: http://jimmyv.convio.net/site/TR/Endurance/General?px=1409952&pg=personal&fr_id=1370

Don't feel bad monkeyol....My diet has been carb heavy for some time...It still is to some extent. I've done the low carb thing several times before, and can't be successful long term eating that way. I prefer a vegetarian-ish diet if you will. I only eat enough meat to get my Protein in, focusing mostly on fish. I still eat veggies, ancient grains and fruit.
Carbs aren't bad for you.....Bad carbs are bad for you, just as bad fats are bad for you. Most of the world lives almost exclusively on carbs for nutrition, and are not fat. They don't eat Frosted Flakes, potato chips, Pasta, french fries, candy and other sugars though, Their food supply is minimally processed.
If you would like to incorporate carbs into your diet, then opt for healthier, minimally processed carbs, and add them back slowly so that you can see how your body reacts to them.
Don't feel that you have to eat that way forever, though. You definitely have choices, and must find which way works best for you for in long term.

    Good luck.
