  4. Lastest update, My date has changed to 6/13/2019. All test and approvals should be in by that time. I have some great docs. If nothing else? They treat me like a person not just a number. This is round two. I am ready to fight for my health.
  5. Yes, for me its been a pain in the butt. However, there is always hope. I am fighting for my health with my docs against the insurance company. Its a matter of life/death and they 're making me prove it. I have a few more test this week. I all ready have date. I am currently in pain at work. I really need to go home.
  6. Keeping fighting for your health. So them how important this procedure is for your health.
  7. I read alot of research. I pulled that stats from a source. The "95%" was a quote. I have to look it up again. It the success rate from sleeve to bypass related to the absence of GERD.. I'll give you the source later today.
  8. My biggest fear before my revision? Getting a call saying "We have changed our minds. You can't have the operation."
  9. Here the deal in my view. A person can sabotage either procedure. However, read the medical journals that deal with obesity and look up the psychological studies after wls. You have to prepare your Mind and body for long-term success. It's not just about the weight. Your life is going to change in multiple ways. Counseling can help throughout this process.
  10. Until then continue to reach out. It takes our minds alot longer to get the weight loss and gain piece. Speaking for myself, I am learning to deal with the increased attention weight loss brings. It takes time to get a costumed to our new bodies!
  11. When is last time you visited your surgeon? What does he think? Do medical professionals think you are to small? Seek professional assistance! Sometimes we have been so traumatize that being healthy is a shock. I am sure your life has changed dramatically. Keep fighting for your mental and phyical health!
  12. Well here is a little more hope. The lastest researcher from one of the bigger clinic shows a 95% success rate. I have to find my source again. It gave me alot of hope.
  13. How much more weight are you trying to lose? GERD sucks! Thanks for sharing! I hope to lose at least 50 with no GERD after my revision.
  14. I pray you feel better soon. Sounds like you are over the hardest part. Take it one day at a time. I take notes. It helps me gauge my progress. Go slow and get some rest!
  15. They didnt tell me that it would go slow. However, I am preparing for that possibility. I hope to be at goal by Dec.
  16. This time should work. Just dont give-up. Keep pushing forward until you get your needed result. This is your body.
  17. I was afraid to tell my husband about my revision. As we are both on my insurance from my employer. They only cover me for this procedure. He has a little GERD and was sleeved a month after my sleeve. We used his insurance. Additionally, he is a cáncer Survivor. I feel alot guilt. However, I must still move forward.
  18. Thank you for sharing! Did it take longer for the weight to start coming off? How long did it take to lose 40 pounds?
  19. Before! I had sugar withdrawal. I was sleepy, unkind and just kinda out of control. It's still not easy after my sleeve. I have now stopped again. At least my anti-depression and anxiety meds will help me blance.
  20. It can go by fast. Do some things that you like to past the time and enjoy this time. Sugar free ICE things are great.
  21. Yes, I have had reflux since shortly after my sleeve. Recently, I had add what I call the "reflux cough." My throat is always sore. My revision is in Mid-May.
  22. Before or after my sleeve, I should have been in counseling. I had too many things going on including grief and loss. I was sick both mentally and physically. I would tell most individuals going through this process; Please seek profesional mental health support. Select someone who has experience with Bartrics.
