Sneezing and Other Weird Signs Your Pouch is Full

Very happy to make your acquaintance! 😎✋👟🌼🌼🦋 Just love butterflies - - remind me of a new creature coming out of their cocoon just like us!!!

Sneezing and Other Weird Signs Your Pouch is Full

yep - - - I get the hic-ups (which I did not have before my sleeve) or some lumber jack size belching. So unlady-like!! And there have been times, like recently after Thanksgiving and Christmas when I JUST HAD to have a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and a little bit more of this over here. Like I've never had mashed potatoes before? Geez! I'm down to 162 from 279, why would I want to kill myself over a tablespoon of mashed potatoes? Because we don't have giblet gravy every day, that's why! So, on those days when holiday meals are a feast, I will Sneeze, Hic-up, Belch, Cough, and then of course I will have to visit the bathroom to void before I wet myself. But, as long as I am careful I will not spuke. It's like my system is testing all it's warning drills, but doesn't go any farther.
  3. I eat most of what you mentioned, except rice. My Dr doesn't want me to have that. says it continues to "suck liquids" so I could only eat a teaspoon if I ate any at all, but better to not have it at all

    low immunity

Does anyone else have such low immunity that when ever they get into a crowd, they pick up whatever bug is out there - - sore throat, earache, flu, who know what? Gets to where I don't want to go out because I know I'm probably going to get something!
  5. I am over 7 months out from surgery, and I have had some sodas with no issues. The problem is Drs don't want you to get into the habit of drinking them and the empty calories when we need proteins instead. What we need to realize is our Drs have our best interest at heart, (just as we do our children) and they are not telling us a lie, but they are telling us a non-truth. Everything that goes into your mouth you need to judge for yourself as to "is this the best thing for me, is this going to benefit me life"

    Vitamin help please!

Hi, this is prob to late to help you, but I struggled with taking vits and my surgery is 9 months out (had Oct 2017). My surgeon told me to take prenatal WITHOUT iron as the iron is often the problem that causes the issues. Then of course you have to get your iron through your diet. Begin by cooking everything in a cast iron skillet. You can sometimes find chewable iron if you need that. Currently, I must admit I am not taking my vits. The taste just makes me ill. But my last labs were just fine, so I am doing ok. (thankfully) I wouldn't suggest this for everyone however.

    Anyone NOT lose their hair?

my hair was naturally thin, so I figured I would be bald. I couldn't stand the vitamins, they made me sick, so I stopped taking them. I do take Vitafusin B12 and Spring Valley Hair Skin and Nails. I have had no hair loss. I have been very surprised. good luck ladies.

    Snacking at the Movies

the movie theater we go to offers such choices as fruit and cheeses, nuts with dark chocolate, etc. Of course the cost is up there. I have tried taking something in and using my medical card the surgeon gave me to use at resturaunts but that didn't help much at the theater!! the fruit and chesses are very good.
  12. I have had mulitple issues from my surgery, and there have been many many times that I have wished I did not have it done. I think out 8 months, I have only felt well for 3 days, I keep track of my protein, my H2O, my output my everything. I am still seeing my Dr every month (grrr). I have had numerous tests and he says everything is healed well, nothing is wrong, just the fact that I had Fibro and would take a long time to heal. I say BALONEY!!! I get nauseous almost every meal, which is still 4 ounces. Anyone else have these kind of issues?
  13. So far I have tried 3 chewables - - - blah blah blah!!! so, I ordered 2 gummies , yeah, that didn't work either. They just gummed up in my teeth. Did not dissolve well at all and the taste was awful! Sorry to say, I got all from this site. I do need to say that I am on 'Raglan' for excessive nausea and vomiting with just small amounts of food, so my Dr thinks I have some scar tissue in my esophagus from my hiatial hernia repair that was done when my sleeve was completed. I have an upper GI scheduled DEC 8th to determine. SO.........long story short my Dr has approved me to try capsules early (instead of waiting until 6 months per his time line). What are others issues?

Post-op: How long until you ate real food?

been moving to "real foods" since about 3 days prior to Thanksgiving - - 'thankfully!!!

no energy and alot of weakness

I realize these are older posts, but they give me hope that I am not alone in feeling so tired all the time at weeks 3 and 4 in my recovery - - - - I am 59, with Fibro, chronic fatigue and chronic pain. I knew it would take time, and my Dr told me it would take longer for me then most of his patients (which I thought was wonderful of him) but I was beginning to think, "What the heck man"?!?!?! Now with the holidays approaching, I am going to be toast all season!
