  1. I am 2 months and 1 week post op sleeve and it still hurts to drink water. I get this painful feeling in my gut when I drink water. I am not getting anywhere near the amount of required water. Anyone have any thoughts?
  2. Why on earth would you be afraid of your nutritionist? Who cares what he/she thinks. Go about your business and tell them what they want to hear.
  3. Coffee is fine. I drink coffee every morning and I am at 2 months and 1 week post op. Learn to think for yourself. Your Dr is not god.
  4. What in the hell is a PPI?
  5. There is a good book called, "Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway." It is a self help book.
  6. I take chewable Centrum. They contain the essential vitamins and they are only 11 dollars for a 90 day supply.
  7. Well your orders were wrong. Cheese is an excellent source of protein. Cheez its have 5 grams of protein per 1.5 oz package by the way.

  13. I have found that I really love a little snack now and then that is not too heavy. I bought a 36 pack box of Cheeze Its on Amazon and they are the perfect size to just give me a little bit of pleasure to my tongue. Anyone else love Cheeze It?
  14. You are not ready for the surgery. The questions you asked are childish.
  15. You wont be needing a hospital bag. All that crap on your list is not necessary. The hospital will be providing you with all that you need.
  16. I took me, myself and I. You are a nurse you should know that the hospital will provide the necessities.
  17. I had to have a catheter inserted up my penis after surgery because I was unable to urinate on my own. I tried and tried and nothing would come out so the nurse had to do a catheter. I was brave. It was a strange feeling. It didnt hurt it was just irritating. The catheter drained all the urine from my bladder and after that I was able to go on my own.
  18. I was terrified too of being put under for surgery, but I did it. I had waited for almost 9 months to have this surgery after jumping through all the different hoops of interviews and the whole pre op process that you must go through so I wasnt about to back out. I had never been put under before and wondered if something would go dreadfully wrong during the surgery but I woke up and was fine. I couldnt pee after the surgery so the nurse had to put a catheter up my penis which was the worse part of the whole thing. I have lost 22 pounds so far and I am 2 months post op as of today. I started out with a bmi of 36. Dont be a quitter. See this through to the end. Pray to the Universe for some bravery and confidence and get this done!
  19. What are you complaining about? I am 2 months post op today and I have lost just 22 pounds. It takes time. I have been able to only get down 2 quarts of water per day.
  20. I think you are over doing it a little bit. You wont even be thinking about three quarters of those items when you get out of surgery.
