  1. I have noticed that I am getting mild heartburn after eating meals...especially dinner. Anyone else experienced this? I am not taking any medication for this. Worried that it will get worse. Any suggestions?
  2. Hi May 2018 sleevers! I hope you all are doing well. This year has flown by very quickly. I am down 80 lbs. and have just 20 more to my goal weight. Been following the diet, but am in a bit of a stall...Went to my surgeon my check-up, and he is very happy with my progress, but thinks I am able to lose more. Recommended visiting my nutritionist to see where I can cut calories and/or carbs. Would love to hear how you all are doing...

  5. So happy that people are continuing with this chain! I am down 75 lbs since the my start weight. Coming off much slower now...but still losing several pounds each month. So I'll take it. Would ultimately love to get to 100 lbs off...but if you had told me that I'd be down 75 pounds by New Years, I wouldn't have believed it was possible. Best. Decision. EVER. is right! Happy 2019 to everyone!

  7. Hi everyone! I was sleeved on 5/23...Down 64 lbs...very happy with the results. Still losing, but at a much slower rate. I have been going to the post-op support group which is great. Highly recommend it. Walking 2 miles everyday and trying to get in my 10,000 steps!

  9. My nutritionist says 40-50 grams of carbs and 60-80 grams of protein. I have an Atkins shake for breakfast, 2-3 ounces of protein and 1/2 cup of salad at lunch, and Atkins shake in the afternoon, and 2-4 ounces of protein and 1/2 cup of veggies at dinner, plus a sugar free popsicle for a snack. That means I still need the 12 ounces of Gatorade to get all my carbs.

  12. I actually found this book in one of the posts on this very site...Bariatric Mindset Success, by Kristin Lloyd, MS, LPC, LMHC. She went thru it herself, and has some great ideas. Check it out and good luck.
  13. I am two months post-op with the sleeve. Getting all my protein, but carbs are hard to get unless I drink Gatorade everyday. I feel like I'd rather eat healthy carbs. How are you getting 40 grams of carbs?

  16. I'm not eating chicken till next week. As for calories, I think it's around 500. I have been using myfitnesspal to log the food, but it seems to differ from what the nutritionist told me...

  18. I got sleeved on May 23. Doing pretty well. I'm on the soft food diet till next week. Looking to see how others are doing...
  19. Looking forward to my first "real meal" after the 21 day liquid diet post surgery. What are your suggestions...
  20. I got sleeved on the 23rd. And started my self injections of Lovenox on the 24th. This past weekend, I had a rash/hives on my stomach near the injections sites. I called my doctor, and he said to stop the Lovenox (I was only 4 shots from being done.) Still itchy, but seems to be not as angry red. Seeing my doctor tomorrow. Hoping this goes away soon. I read Lovenox stays in your system for 12-36 hours after taking it. I think you should call your doctor. Let me know how it goes.
