  1. What is an NSV? Is it a version of the Bible lol
  2. Can you tell me how you cook vegetables in the crock pot to make them so that they stay nice and colorful after they are ready to be eaten? Every time that I add vegetable like carrots and cellery to the crock pot they end up looking dark. Should I be adding vegetable broth to the meat and vegetables?
  3. Lamb is my favorite meat. Do you like lamb? It is so delicious baked in the oven until it falls apart. I like it with salt, garlic and potatoes.
  4. Has anyone made pork loin in the oven or crock pot? I used to make it before my surgery and would like to incorporate it back into my diet. I guess even any meat would satisfy my hunger for meat. Anyone have any thoughts about me eating meat at 3 months post op. Thanks.
  5. Hello Newbie. I didnt have anyone to help me do anything...I was on my own.
  6. Oh I see you are from Ontario, Ca. I am from Brea/Fullerton before I moved to Oregon.
  7. I agree!! The NUT and your Dr are not your gods.
  8. Feel the fear and do it anyway. That is the name of a good self help book.
  9. I am almost 3 months post op and have only lost 23 pounds, of course I regret having the surgery.
  10. Who says you are only "allowed" a certain amount of anything? You are your own person. Eat what you need to eat to survive. Your Dr or your NUT does not rule your life. I too have a sweet tooth. I love the little lifesavers gummies.
  11. I wont be eating 10 pounds in a month, that would be excessive. I might have 3 or 4 dates a day. Ill refrigerate them. They should last awhile.
  12. I dont believe there are 90 grams of sugar per day. It would depend upon how many you eat.
  13. Well I could use the calories but not the sugar.
  14. I will eat them over the course of the month. Dates are very healthy. Yes, they contain some sugar, but I can handle that.
  15. I bought 10 pounds of them from Amazon so I need to be able to eat dates.
  16. I bought two boxes of 36 pouches each from Amazon. I am addicted to them. HELP.
  17. That tells me nothing about dates.
  18. Can we eat dates post op? I want to eat dates. I am almost 3 months post op and would love to eat dates. Can we have them?
  19. Yes, I have tried them before and they have a good tolerable taste to them. I would be drinking them 2 times per day. They are called Frosty Chocolate. The total cost for two of them per day per month is 131.00.
  20. Tomorrow I plan on ordering the Pure Protein in a can. I plan on purchasing them from Amazon. I want to buy enough for two per day. It will provide me with a total of 70 mg of protein per day. The cost is 21.00 per per 12 cans. So I am buying 60 cans to last all of August. Should I make this purchase? I have already tried this product in the past and really like it.
  21. Try sugar free Chocolate pudding. It will definitly solve your sweet tooth.
