Yes, just use a lot of veggies but not too much fruit. I love green juices with just enough apple to sweeten it up.

I was on the Nuva ring and it was suggested that I go back to that after surgery. I'll be consulting my OBGYN but the ring worked for me for years and seems like a good choice post bypass.

I'm on the Depo shot. But I've been using that for years, before I've had the surgery. That works great for me, but I've heard of others using the one you get inside your arm. Not sure how well it works, though.

I read from my surgeon that the pill will be less effective after surgery. What options is everyone exploring or what has been successful?

My surgeon wants me to have two 4oz Protein Shakes every day. Plus 64oz of liquid (water) and per my surgeons meal plan I should be on mushy foods however I still can't hold down anything more than Soup. So I've been doing my Protein shakes and 1/2 a cup of soup twice a day. I miss the taste of food but I know it's all worth it

That's so awesome! Great job! And believe me... I know what you mean. I would try so hard every month only to lose 3 lbs and now I'm 50 lbs down.

Hi all! I can't believe this journey so far, and it has just barely started. As of today I am two months and two days out from the day I started my pre op liquid diet. On that day I weighed 292.8 lbs. Two weeks later the morning of surgery on October 4th my weight was at 275.6 this morning I reached 50 lbs give since the start of my liquid diet. And 33 lbs gone in the six weeks and two days since surgery. It feels amazing!

I’m stating Monday as well with liquids....🙈

I’m scheduled for my bypass on December 4th. Is anyone else having their surgery in December? I’m nervous but excited!
