  1. I'm having lap band surgery on april 22nd and I'm really nervous-am I doing the right thing? My doctors told me I pretty much had to if I wanted to live longer than 5 more years-that scared me. I do want to see my son get married and see my grandkids.I worry that I Will not be able to change my bad eating habits although I am committed to this surgery. Is it normal to have all these doubts and mixed feelings? I've told a few people about the surgery-got several different responses.I do not feel that this surgery is the easy way out -anybody ever tell you that? What is the best piece of advice you can give me to prepare myself for this great adventure?:ohmy:
