1n0nlyJoe got a reaction from defibvt in Swallowing?
TMI I know but this is the LGBT forums.
Have you found any issues with swallowing...protein? (yes, that) Are you unable to eat/drink for 30 min/1 hour afterward? I know this seems like a joke topic but honestly curious. I know I'll have to be careful after surgery before being active to avoid hernias so figured, a less aggressive sexual activity would be better.
Thank you.

1n0nlyJoe got a reaction from Callisto in realistic time off work
I'm very grateful most of my work is offsite. However, I was told usually a 1-2 weeks would be adequate should I work onsite with clients.
I say, if you have the time to do so and it won't strain you financially, take the time off. This recovery only happens once in your lifetime so why not take advantage of it and rest up?

1n0nlyJoe got a reaction from cc1018 in I got approved!
Well, I just called my surgeon's office to find out that after my 6 month of dieting, drawing blood, multiple x-rays, and psych test that I'm approved for my Gastric Sleeve! I'm very happy and blessed. Long story short with me, I pursued surgery at age 21 when I was approved on accident from my mom's insurance that I was under. Years later, I went on multiple dieting programs that helped me achieve a weight loss of close to 200lbs. But from stresses of not being able to afford the programs and moving out-of-state, I gained it back. I feel blessed because I'm getting a second chance to take my life back. I'm also looking to start a Vlog of my process to help inspire others going through the same process. My surgery date is September 28th and ready to commit to the change needed.

1n0nlyJoe got a reaction from Frmbandtosleeve in Very Upset With Myself (new to online support groups)
Sorry to hear about your struggles. Maybe consider doing a liquid diet for 2-weeks so you can bring the weight down a little. Don't give up, your journey is starting again even if it feels like it's getting delayed.
