  1. So I had surgery 9/26 and I'm on soft food/ puréed....my son plays hockey and after today's game the entire team with families are going to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. I'm not seeing anything on the menu I can order to make it look like I'm eating (I haven't told anyone I had Bypass). Any suggestions? I have digested everything okay I've tried so far like beef barley soup, chili, cottage cheese, etc. Help! Thanks!!!!!
  2. Good Luck Tomorrow!!!!!! I'm so nervous and excited!
  3. gotcha - misunderstood! no olive garden then ha! Here's what my days have been looking like..... I had an all liquid diet for 2 weeks... into my second week.... start the day at 8 AM with a protein shake (Slimfast Advanced Protein), 10 AM sugar free jello, 12 protein shake, 2 PM broth (chicken), 4 pm protein shake, 5 pm sugar free Popsicle, 6pm protein shake, evening sugar free Popsicle and jello During the day I drink Crystal Light and lots of water....
  4. Probably not making my dietitian happy right now, I tried to keep it as healthy as possible but I did make my husband take me out for a last meal at Olive Garden so I could eat salad with some bread sticks (I limited myself to 2 although I wanted a lot more) and because I've been making better choices and my appetite is a lot different, I couldn't even come close to eating my whole entree.
  5. How are you doing? Thinking of you!
  6. I'm on the 26th too! My surgeon was very particular for the pre-op diet.... no Premier Shakes which seems to be popular pre-surgery.... I can have them post surgery. Pre-op, I'm having 4 to 5 Advanced Protein Slimfast Shakes - they are okay - well let's be honest, all protein shakes are pretty terrible - I just so my best to get them down :-)
  7. So I have been interviewing with a company and if all goes well next Friday, the company will invite me onsite for an interview. I'm 11 days out from surgery. At this point, I don't think I'll interview onsite prior to surgery. My question is how soon after surgery do you think I'll be 'good enough' meaning have energy and not look like someone beat me up, to sit through a 3 hour interview? 2 weeks? 3 weeks? I can't push it out too long. Help!!!!
  8. My pre-op consists of 4 to 5 slimfast advanced protein shakes, broth, sugar free popsicles, and crystal light.... not much fun here! 11 more Days - I have a count down calendar!
  9. I'm 9/26!!! Day 2 of liquid diet.... I'm fixated on not eating.... It's really hard to get my mind off of it and I dislike the shakes....
  10. Today is Day 1 of my liquid diet!!! Wish me luck!!!! I'm so worried about making it through the first 3 days and being cranky at work. I'm a person who gets Hangry!!!!!! Surgery is scheduled for 9/26! So excited though over a year in the making!!!! I don't want to screw that up!
  11. I'd love to join! What's the group called?

  14. I will have to check out the Optimum Nutrition from Costco! The tropical smoothie sounds wonderful!
  15. My surgeon shared that he wants me to stay away from premier protein because it has too much protein and won't shrink the liver...has anyone else heard this? I like premier and struggle finding others I like...any suggestions?
  16. I'm so not looking forward to this pre-op diet!!!!! I'm not a fan of protein shakes but that's what I'll be having for 2 weeks straight!!! Please keep us posted on your progress!!
