I did a 2 week pre-op liquid diet (lost 19.5 lbs) and am now on a 2.5 week post-op liquid diet (my surgery was 8/8/17). My post-op follow-up appointment is what's driving the 2.5 week liquid diet (I am on the short list if anyone cancels their appt, otherwise, I'll be drinking my meals. Its all good though, in the long run it will all pay off.
The hardest part for me was after the 1st week I was tired of the Protein Shakes. I did find a life saver in the form of a 10g Protein shot which mixes well with the strawberry crush packs you can get at the Dollar Tree (that is also where I got the protein shots). I also got orange and pineapple. It made for a less sweet drink which I mixed in 20g protein portions. I sipped on these all day.
The name of the protein is Protein Boost and it has 0 sugar and even tastes good as a straight shot although I prefer mixing them. Hope this bit of info helps gets you through these tough times.

No regrets what so ever. I lost 50% during pre-op of what I lost in total with the band. My band just never worked for me and I also did the yo-yo again and again until I decided it was time for me to take back my life.
As your lap band is already removed, any scar tissue should have been remedied.It took my surgeon a little extra time to remove my scar tissue from the band which was extensive.

I had surgery almost 10 months ago. Hubby is just eatting better

Hi Chloe, I too am a transplant (NC to TX). My best friend lives here so that has made this a little easier for me. But by the way you speak, your beauty is from your heart, not based on looks. I'd bet you're going to be the same kind, sweet person you've always been, just in a smaller body. Best of Luck.
