  1. I guess I've been lucky. Initially I told only those that needed to know.. family and work. As I began my 5 week pre op diet I created a Facebook group and invited my closest friends who I knew would provide unending support and encouragement. I had my surgery on Tuesday and have now told my Facebook friends. My whole experience has been one of love, support and encouragement so I am counting my blessings [emoji173]️ I wish you all a wonderful journey

    Any August 2017 Sleevers?

I'm hearing you loud and clear! I'm 54 and finally taking control of my body, my health and my life! The saggy skin does worry me a bit but You can hide most of that with good support garments I guess [emoji12]My surgery was on Tuesday and I am doing great! Sore of course but tolerating liquids with ridiculous ease!! I'm averaging 1.5 litres per day and No reflux... yay

You might find this video by Dr Matthew Weiner helpful. He has a whole library of them and I have found some of them very helpful Good Luck

Hello from Oz This is my first post and am looking forward to meeting fellow sleevers. I am having surgery on 8/8 and on day 17 of my 35 day pre-op diet. So far it hasnt been too bad, Im on 3 Optifast meals plus unlimited green veges and a selection of fruits per day. Apart from the week one headaches I havent had any problems although Opti Choc bars give me wind and the poops! Good Luck all

HI I am on week 2 of my 5 week Optifast pre-op diet. Surgery date is 8/8. So far I have had no problems but am trying to be creative so boredom doesnt set in over the next few weeks. I am on 3 opti meals a day plus unlimited veges(with exclusions) and a small selection of fruits. I am missing my protein though I would love to have an egg lol
