  1. 12 weeks??! [emoji33] I'm on half liquids going into my 3rd month right now to keep my BS levels in check barely but full liquids for 3 months I would shoot myself! JK of course...
  2. Where are you from in Europe? I would look at Greece or Bulgaria (private clinics of course). It'll be pricier than Mexico but you'll save the cost of the overseas flight. That's where I would have gotten mine done next summer but there would be too much family drama for me to do it over there.
  3. I was just thinking this. If I lose too much hair (and I don't have a lot to start with) I'm gonna try and pull off a pixie cut
  4. Wow! Thank you a million times over! I needed that. Maybe it's that TOM and I'm just getting emotional lol.
  5. I have been thinking like this all my life. I feel like me and think like me (if that makes any sense) but then I look into a mirror while passing by or trying on clothes or see myself in pictures and it's like a slap across the face because I don't see myself as that big. That's why I avoid pictures like the plague. Last night was my husband's birthday and I can honestly say I had a great time with family & friends. Everyone was also saying how great I looked which made me even happier. I thought do I really need this surgery? And then a family member who was taking pictures all night sent me the pictures this morning and I saw myself and felt absolutely mortified thinking who is this person? That can't be me! Yeah, I need this surgery so I can find out what being me really feels like.
  6. Everyone is so excited, and don't get me wrong I'm also super excited, but I'm kinda scared ****less at the same time. I keep thinking "Do I really need to do this?" and finding reasons not to and then something happens that affirms my decision like "Yes, you really DO need to do this!" I know I'm not going to back down but the thoughts are just there. Anyone else feel this way or just me?
  7. Just had my morning coffee reading all posts going back to 2014. Being overweight my whole 38 yrs. of life I can relate to all of them and wanted to add all of them to my bucket list (that would take hrs). BUT... being pre-op I am still in disbelief that this will work and consider all these things wishful thinking like always.
  8. How about decaf? Is that allowed?
  9. OMG I'm so happy for you!!! I can't wait! I just started insulin 2 months ago and it's driving me bonkers!
  10. For A1C you should fast 12 hrs. prior. It sucks but it's the only way to get accurate results
  11. Congratulations! Get lots of rest!
  12. It's a wonderful feeling when you realize that it's all coming together [emoji4]
  13. ???? No comment! Just laughing. I gotta tell my husband this is what he can expect for me. I'd love to record his reaction ????
  14. My husband to be able to pick me up! Oh! I'm adding that one to my list [emoji322]
  15. Is the powdered stuff cheaper than than the regular capsules?
  16. Has anyone tried the vitamin patches? Wouldn't they be easier as a routine?
  17. Looking forward to (hopefully) not having to shoot up insulin every time I want to eat something. I'm also looking forward to being able to fit nicely into any cute clothes I find (H&M here I come!). My wallet... not so much [emoji23] But mostly looking forward to having the energy to do all the things I want to do in a full day without feeling exhausted come 2pm.
  18. I don't think there's anything to be worried about as long as you're street smart. If there are any issues I would like to think they would notify those who have booked their dates. I paid my deposit also for October 30th.
  19. OMG! Girl you look hot! Wow! I'm the same starting weight and get RNY end of October. You'll have to give me some tips
  20. Right??? I would go tomorrow if I could! I have to focus on other things because 2 months seems like forever lol
  21. What are you all doing to prepare? Is it too early to start getting stuff together or is my OCD kicking in?
  22. Thank you for sharing! I'm relieved. I have ischemic colitis (similar to ulcerative) and I was worried also. I'm scheduled for RNY October 30th
  23. This may sound ridiculous but practice makes perfect. I read somewhere a long time ago that the less you have sex the less you want it and vice versa. Sorry I can't remember the article source, I read it a few years back.
  24. Have you been checked for diabetes? It affects sex drive in both men & women
  25. October 30th! Just booked! [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322]
