  1. I’m exactly 1 week post-op RNY and haven’t had a BM in 8 days. Mind you I have been on clear liquids & jello for 2 weeks (1 week pre-op and 1 week post-op). I don’t feel the urge or constipated however. I don’t know if there’s anything really in there to pass. Should I be worried or take milk of magnesia just in case?
  2. Thank you! I just downloaded an app called Round and it has full timers & reminders for all meds & vitamins! Hopefully I can get into a routine ASAP [emoji5]
  3. Thank you James! I appreciate the suggestions!
  4. Hi everyone! I’m 6 days post-op and starting my vitamin regimen today. Does anyone have an example of what vitamins they take at what time? Do you set alarms, reminders, etc. on your phone?
  5. Oh ok. Lol, yes I got one of those thingys while in the hospital [emoji4]
  6. They do give you stockings to wear and take home with you. No binder. What’s a spirometer?
  7. I’m sorry you’re in pain. Are you taking any painkillers? I can’t believe how hard it is to get in 64oz. of fluids! I’m not in too much pain just on the left side when I take deep breaths.
  8. I’m sorry you had a rough start to your journey. I can’t speak from experience yet, but I hope you are feeling better each day. As far as losing is concerned you can already see a big difference!
  9. Feel free to message me if you have any questions whatsoever
  10. Hi guys! I just returned from there last night. We stayed 1 night at the hotel after the hospital and it was honestly more than enough time. I felt restless and ready to go home after that. They even send the doctor to your hotel room that evening to check up on you! I don’t know about the US but in Canada that’s never gonna happen [emoji57] @Sheldrea We left early the next morning for Canada (12 hr trip with the delays) just make sure you have plenty of water and wear the stockings and you’ll be fine.
  11. Hi Sherry! We’re flying home today. 10 hr. trip [emoji51]
  12. Finally get to leave the hospital today. Won’t be home until Saturday early morning however [emoji22] Still have the gassy bloaty feeling hopefully it goes away soon though! And of course that TOM came a week early. UGH!
  13. And in case you’re worried or anything there’s literally double security 24/7. Too much I would say [emoji4]
  14. Yep. My mum has been ordering all her meals while we are here and they’re either delivered here by the restaurant or picked up by one of the staff here
  15. Talked a bit to the doc today since I was out of it pretty much all day yesterday even though I was walking around as soon as I was up. I guess I did so well on the liver shrinking diet he didn’t need a 5th incision to hold the liver to the side so I only have 5 incisions (1 currently has the drain which they’re taking out tonight) Feeling more tired today than yesterday though, been taking lots of naps in between walking. And try to stay up but find myself dozing off lots too No stomach pain yesterday but today it feels like a big kink or cramp on the upper part of my belly or like I did 1000 crunches
  16. Everyone here is AMAZING! I can’t praise them high enough. You won’t regret your decision [emoji1417]
  17. Surgery was at 1.30 for me. Took a bit to wake up (I think that’s from just being exhausted from the 9hr trip the day before if anything). No pain or gas pain actually except for where the drain is. I can’t take a deep breath it cuts my breath halfway so only small short breaths. But other than that so far so good! Feeling pretty lucky right about now [emoji1431]
  18. I’m scheduled with Dr. Illan for Monday morning. Flying out from central Canada tomorrow morning. I have read so many good things about Dr. Illan and not one bad thing that I could not feel more confident in his capabilities.
  19. 2 more days!!! So excited but also scared! I was super busy running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off this past week so I wouldn’t have time to freak out. Getting ready for Mexico today and flying out at 6am tomorrow. By the time I process what’s going on I’ll be in Tijuana so... kinda can’t back out at that point [emoji23] I’ve never been to Mexico before and always wanted to go but... not like this [emoji12] I’m looking forward to 2 full weeks off work!
  20. Aaaaah ok They don’t sound fun [emoji51]
  21. What on earth are Heparin shots?
  22. Good luck tomorrow! Let me know how you’re doing!
  23. Good luck today! Let us know how you’re doing!
  24. I’m in Sask. and my date is October 30th. I’m pretty nervous also but apparently that’s common [emoji4] Good luck with your RNY!
  25. I've cut down to 10/day from 20/day since September. I'm trying to lower that down to 5 but it's friggin hard! The liquid diet I'm having no problems with, but smoking... UGH! I'm hoping being in the hospital for 3 days not being able to will flush the nicotine out and I won't touch another one after that ??
