Quitting smoking

Hello, I’m new here! I have my psych evaluation consult on 10/30 and then the evaluation soon after that... I’m just curious if there is anybody else having a hard time quitting smoking?

Thank you

My doctors tests for nicotine weeks before and the morning of surgery. If nicotine is found he will cancel.

I quit January 27, 2016 after almost dying with sepsis from a perforated bowel. I quit cold turkey. It wasn’t easy Bless you all trying to quit.

I quit for a month and took my nicotine test, then I started smoking again about 5 cigs or so a day now I've stopped again its been 3 days its not easy thats for sure I have to constantly battle my mind telling me to go get some but I know I can't take that chance I'm waiting on insurance approval all my pre ops are done just getting to close to cheat. Good luck, oh I eat hard candy like I"m smoking it helps a little.

This diet make you want to smoke. ?

I've cut down to 10/day from 20/day since September. I'm trying to lower that down to 5 but it's friggin hard! The liquid diet I'm having no problems with, but smoking... UGH! I'm hoping being in the hospital for 3 days not being able to will flush the nicotine out and I won't touch another one after that ??

I really feel for you. I gave up years ago and it was hard but in some ways easier too. I didn’t have to stress about running out etc.maybe try the vape things you can get no nicotine ones. Best of luck, you can do it x
