  1. Hello- This is my first blog...I am very excited about my "journey." I am scheduled for LapBand surgery 04/08/2008 @ 12:30pm...Fortunately for me, I had a very easy approval process, it was actually completed in 1 week...I had all my appointments completed in a week...I don't know how to get that BMI tape measurer thing on the bottom of my signature like so many of you guys...So, I will just write it out....I am 5'9 1/2 and 364 lbs, with a BMI of 54!! That's just damn ridiculous...Anyways, I am in day 3 of my pre-op diet...and I have some gastric issues...Has anyone else experienced this??? I am actually down to 356.4 lbs right now, which I think is a little awkward for only 3 days of liquid diet!!! Perhaps is dehydration over anything??? Or could it be my kidneys cleansing"??? I dunno!!! HELP!!! My Dr. states my goal weight should be 173, on some insurance website, I have a a medium body frame and should weigh between 140-155!!! That seems a tad outrageous!!! I would be happy at 180 or something like that... So here starts the process...I feel kinda depressed a lil...My boyfriend is all extra excited for me, and that makes me wonder if he truly wants the best for me, or is happy I will not be so dang dumpy and fat anymore??? He works out regularly and looks great...We are definitely night and day... My kids are ecstatic...they keep asking what we will be able to do when I am not so big...That makes me smile cuz I know I will be able to keep up in a game of kickball or football with them...I almost felt like I was gonna have a heart attach walking from outside Hy-Vee (local grocery store) to my car!!! And that's cuz I went to there salad bar to fix me a salad!!! Good gravy!!! Anyways, I am not a writer, but I thought I'd give it a shot!!!! Good luck to everyone, I will keep you all in my prayers...Great journey to be on... Be Blessed...
