    1st restaurant experience post op

I had my surgery on May 2nd, I waited till I was able to eat whole foods till I went to a restaurant, my main reason is because I don't like to spend money on something I won't eat. When I did finally go, I asked to order from the children's menu because I had surgery, didn't say what kind, just that I had surgery. However I do feel comfortable telling people I had weight lost surgery, I feel like it's something I choose and I'm going to own it. I'm not saying everyone should be that way, I'm just saying that that's been the best way for me to deal with all of it.
  3. Hello everyone! I had the DS surgery on May 5th and I've lost 32 lbs. I feel like that isn't a lot so I think it's time for me to start reaching out to others. I'm only 5 feet tall and I weighed 249 when I started my journey. I weighed 233 going into surgery. I have had it pretty easy, easier then I thought it would be, I have never thrown up or had dumping, so I feel like I'm following the rules. I would just like to hear other people's stories, especially ones who've had the DS, because I can't find a lot of talk from people who've had it. And I'm posting a pic so I can start this off being brave!

I'm new here & would love a buddy! I'm 37 & I had the DS on May 2nd & I've lost 32 lbs. That's sounds like not a lot to me, so I'd love someone (or people) to talk things through!
