Hello. I'm in the beginning stages of my WLS journey. I've had my first consult and the doctor said after surgery he highly suggests getting on some sort of birth control. I understand fertility can be heightened, but I and my husband feel really strongly against birth control pills. Is it okay to just use condoms? And if I'm being honest, we don't have sex all that often these days. I hope this doesn't sound stupid. Thank you for your advice.

Thank you, Cheri. We will be responsible just wasn't sure if not using the pill would be a deal breaker for surgery. Was too shy to ask at my first appointment.
