I didn't want to start a thread because there seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding this particular doctor and I don't totally endorse him or his views... But even a broken clock is right twice a day 😂
I think I will add it to the maintenance thread

Ugh... So annoying

The status updates don't seem to get much attention. Is there a reason you didn't make a thread out of it?

I think he has some good videos out there. I don't agree with everything he says but I agree with some things he says in his videos.
It made me ask myself the question though what I really think about "maintenance" or "maintenance mode" and fact seems to be that I never thought much about this. It just happened somehow. I never entered "maintenance" actively or something like that.
However, what I wholeheartedly agree with is what he says about "staying skinny", beginning at about 8:30 min, 11:30 min or 13:30 min in the video. I don't think it's actually that hard and not this "daily struggle". It needs vigilance, yes, but show me a person beyond the age of 35 or 40 that doesn't need that vigilance.
Most people need to exert some kind of effort to maintain a normal weight once they reached a certain age, WLS or not, and that's that. In the end it's as hard as you think it is.

We’ve been taking this very seriously and have been self isolating for a month now. It messes with your head at times, I have days when I oscillate between, this will be ok, to raised levels of anxiety wondering when I’ll see my kids and family again.
Ive gained 1-2 pounds which doesn’t sound like much but I’m going to nip it in the bud. I haven’t really upped my calories but I’ve been more lax in measuring and I’ve been eating more processed food.

Mostly alright. Of course we're scared about COVID and we're getting more and more patients that tested positive.
It's kind of draining to see only the severe cases. It kind of makes you blind to the milder cases that never show up at the hospital and in the end that's the majority of SARS-CoV-2-positive people.

Absolutely.
I think it's a good example for the pendulum coming to the middle after having swayed into the opposite direction first (obese - skinny).
I see so many people on here giving the impression of being down right obsessed.
