  1. Finally a thread I was made for...Lol ALL of them, (Literally ALL I drink a lot of tea) I stayed away from caffeinated and peppermint in the beginning but then I returned to them soon after. I love Good Earth Matcha Maker , Celestial seasonings Red Zinger, Tazo Passion, Harney & Son's Green tea with coconut, Bigelow plantation mint (sketchy name), teavana youthberry , English Earl Greys, ceremonial matcha, etc ... I need tea to be extremely hot almost boiling when I drink it,

    So miserable with pre-op diet

Try Pep talking to yourself in the mirror, seriously. Remind yourself why you are doing it. "Ok, body I need you to hit ketosis/ketogenesis so that the fat around my liver disappears making surgery safer, we can do this!" It works, every time I was hungry preop I did this ( I was even required to do the preop diet but I was scared so I did it anyways)

    OMG I ate too much

I NEVER had restriction with yogurt though... I just stopped at the measured amount. Now I need to backtrack
  8. The scale (or being prisoner to it) can make you miserable if you let it. If it causes anxiety you can always take a break from it. I plateau for a month at a time, I can't imagine weighing every day to confirm this...

I love the visual ! People forget just how much our intake is reduced when we portion small sizes. It looks like we are purposely eating less. But this tells a different story!

    November sleevers here

    That's not a personal trainer, that's a friend...
  15. You are going to be surprised how fast it goes and how necessary it is to make lasting changes like giving up sugar, carbonate beverages, caffeine, and smoking. Or organizing your house and family to not sabotage progress after surgery.

If you have not gained you are maintaining. Go back to basics immediately. Remove any complex foods that you didn't eat at stage 4 (the stage when you first started eating real foods again) make all super clean and simple. I was stuck for a month, did it (plus increased my water seriously and stopped eating after 9pm) and im finally losing again.

    Please mind your business

I don't usually rant but I can't help it this time, This Saturday someone older ,whom I respect , approached me to try to pry information out of me on if I had WLS. First I'm super private about all aspects of my life so the fact that I didn't tell them should be a hint that I didn't want to have the conversation. Second this person is Morbidly Obese and battling diabetes etc and could benefit from this surgery but I say nothing as it is not my place to play prophet for WLS. Third they tried to counsel me on weight loss now and what not to do, i.e. Not to lose anymore weight, don't understand why I did it, etc... HOW DO YOU EVEN DEAL WITH THIS?!??
  18. Now you may have to eat and train like an athlete, I suggest YouTubing information on it (after speaking with with your team of course) but it is possible, hard like all the rest of the population transforming their bodies, but possible.
  19. This may be your set weight. The predicted goal is not always achieved. Not saying you can't or won't get there but it may be a monumental struggle, be prepared to work like crazy.
  20. Before you go all the way to the liquid diet again, what is your regular diet? Can you give examples (honest)? Also intermittent fasting is an interesting prospect if you can handle it...
  21. So no gaining, just no loss? How long has this been trending for?
  22. Unfortunately not all cals are created equal and sustained weight loss is trickier than cals in cals out. What are you eating? Carbs as in bread and pasta or carb counts (macros) ? You may need to reconnect with your team for a revised plan and do a bit of research to get over this hurdle. Google (scholar) and YouTube (Doctors,NUT,Trainers) can be great resources Research glycogenolysis, gluconeogenesis, lipolysis, and ketogenesis.

    Why so slow???

Premier is good, maybe adding ice to it, anyway to get a lot more water in. 72oz is ok but you may need more... Let us know what your NUT thinks! I lose slow AF but researching helped me to understand it a little better. Especially what I could do to improve my chances, but ultimately my body will dictate where i land
  24. GreenTealael

    Why so slow???

Can you bump that water intake up? 24 oz before breakfast shake? Also what kind of shake? And how many grams of sugar? Its interesting but weight loss is not as simple as cals in cals out, its also types of calories. Too much sugar will prevent you from loosing. Google glycogenolysis, gluconeogenesis, lipolysis, and ketogenesis when you have time.
  25. GreenTealael

    Why so slow???

I'm not I'm your bracket but I lose slowly as well. What is your pure water consumption looking like? And can you give examples of your meals (be super honest ,no judgment) because not all calories are created equal.
