So I have a question. How long post op did you wait to have sex?

9 days post-op and I see my Dr tomorrow. I can't wait for the "official" weight loss but experienced THE best feeling a little while ago. My daughter, who is a nursing major, was looking at the incisions and commented that she could tell I've lost. Then she hugged me and started crying. I thought it was because the mom she knew was changing... instead it was because she could get her arms completely around me ... with overlap. I know you'll all understand that proud moment. So glad I did this!!

I'm doing well! Off of the pain meds right now and able to drink the protein shakes in tiny amounts. The burping from all of the air is not fun but I've found that walking certainly helps. Can't wait to hear from others!

July 7th checking in. So far so good. I'm able to drink about2 ounces at a time but immediately I feel the urge to burp. I'm using the premier protein shakes. I have had an occasional sugar free popsicle. I've walked quite a bit today. Haven't taken anything for pain since 8 am. I know I need more liquids and haven't been able to stomach the idea of taking any vitamins but I am feeling better. My family has commented that I seem very mellow. I think it's choosing to be cautious. BTW I am in Georgia and had my surgery with Dr Hart at Atlanta Bariatrics.

I was just sleeved today by Dr Hart. I live in Fayetteville. So glad to read others stories about their experience! Thank you all for sharing!!

Oh my goodness! I can't sleep! I feel this heightened sense of panic and I am sure it also has to do with the liquid diet today. I'm sending out good vibes to everyone being sleeved today. Check in when you can!!

I'm a teacher so I go back to work on the 28th. I have heard of people being back in less than a week.

I worry about the skin. It I'm hopeful that with toning it won't be so bad. My surgery is Friday and I follow up in 10 days. Hopefully at That time he will let me know when I can start working on toning. I think it's really a hit or miss genetically. My sister lost about 120 lbs a few years ago and had a lot of excess skin and surgery. I am praying that I have better skin but if not, I know what I'm in store for. My concern is that I'm self-paying for my surgery so I worry that insurance might not cover the ski. Surgery. Good luck and positive vibes coming your way!!

My surgery is Friday. I'm anxious and nervous and in a state of disbelief. Part of me thinks what am I doing and the other part of me is so excited to see the results. I've NEVER had surgery before so that part is a little nerve wracking!! I've been doing a lot of reading-more positive than anything negative. I've cleaned my house from top to bottom, paid all my bills, etc. I want to make sure everything is in order so that I can focus on healing and getting healthier. Good luck!!

I'm scheduled for surgery Friday. Anxious, scared, and ready to get it over and done! I'm sitting here thinking that tomorrow I go all Liquid and this is the last July 5th that I will be this size. It's exciting to think of who I am going to find underneath this weight!!

That's what I've bought. 1/2 cup at the most.

Oh Lord this concerns me. I have some sinus issues on and off and that's the indicator I get. I'll be watching to see if anyone else posts.

I was told you can shower after 48 hours, back to the water. You have to get up and move around.
