I had surgery 9/6/17, I've lost 14lb so far. Doctor said that was good, because in 6 months I'll be at my goal weight. I started at 200lbs., had to gain weight for surgery 207lbs. Day of surgery I weighed 196lbs. 140lbs is my goal weight. It all depends on your start weight and length of timing to goal. Hang in there, we got this. I had my surgery Sept 6th, was on 4 weeks pre op diet optifast 4 times a day and 1 meal. Surgery was a breeze, no problems or pain. One night stay, was able to eat a cup of jello, popsicle and 2 10.3oz bottles of water the next morning (didn't supposed too, but it was delivered). Was to measure it out every 15 minutes to = 1oz an hour. My biggest problem was cooking for my kids and not being able to taste it to make sure it's season right, found myself eating and tasting food earlier than I was to, but haven't had any problems. Had mine Sept. 6, one week check up on the 12th. No problems at all, but I do have a complaint [emoji3]. I'm still on the liquids until the 27th, I see on here, some people say they go home to grits, oatmeal and soups. I am 5 days out and on a clear liquid diet. But having to get 80g of protein a day and can only do 30ml every 15 min., I can only do protein all day and not meeting that goal of 80g. Nurse say we are awake 16 hours a day, that's some people, I'm on pain management and have been for years, so I sleep more on my medicine. But enjoy what ever you can get in, I'm only on protein. I had my surgery two days ago also, didn't have any pain or problems. But today I'm a little sore in my back, guess it's from laying down. I've been out walking twice today and doing good getting my protein down.
