I went to check, and it looks like you are a couple months out. I'm sure you have figured out how not to take too big of bites by now
Definitely being this up with your surgeon because strictures can get started around the 6-8 week mark. (The scar tissue is forming and pulls tight).

Hi Cheri I really appreciate it, and these are the exact same symptoms I'm experiencing. I will take your advice and see how it works out. Thanks so much!

Hey there,
I'm from Houston also. Congrats on getting your surgery. I am still in the process of getting the requirements taken care. I will be done by July 5th. Who was your surgeon? How are you with getting your liquids in after surgery?

shay_29 reacted to leiaD in Am I doing this right?
Currently I'm in the puréed phase and this is what I've eaten:
Puréed chili
Deviled eggs (once)
Ricotta bake
Almond milk
And tuna
Am I on the right track?

Shay... I know exactly how you feel. It does get better once we begin to see results. The first few weeks are very tough. Hang in there!

I hate to say this, but your stomach might not change shape. It may get smaller, but every WLS patient I know still has their basic body shape. I've always had a big stomach. Now that I'm nearly three years past surgery, I still have a big stomach. I weigh a lot less & my stomach is smaller, but it's still big for my size. For other people, their hips are still big, maybe their butt is still big, whatever. I hope this makes sense. Good luck!

I was put on puréed foods yesterday I went for the Refried beans . And it tore my stomach up I threw up all day yesterday. I'm now back on liquids [emoji17] I pray that you don't have these same complications and that is a smooth transition. I feel like I regret doing this surgery.

shay_29 reacted to Joann454 in Do you find that vomiting has become part of your post VSG life?
I vomited my first night home. That's it. I'm never nauseated. I'm five weeks out and besides fatigue (which is slowly improving) and eating small amounts I wouldn't even know I had surgery.
I feel for those who are feeling sick. That sounds so miserable. I hope it passes for you all.
