Seems backwards to me I had the 24 hour test first which showed the high cortisol then they looked for the cause with the cat scan. But I'm sure your doctor is on top of it.

Just don't assume the problem is cortisol without proof, otherwise you could be missing the real problem

Check your Iron levels. My hair got very thin! My Doc had my ferritin checked and it was a 4! Supposed to be 70! After 2 iron infusions my ferritin is 81 and my hair stopped falling out. Now waiting for it to come back!!!

Check your Iron levels. My ferritin was a 4 just a month ago and my hair was coming out. After 2 iron infusions my ferritin is up to 81 in normal range. Now just waiting for hair to come back. I am 17 years post MGB.

My mini gastric bypass was 10 years ago. I lost 135 lbs, but over time the weight started creeping up. Once I gained almost 35 lbs back, I had to do something. I started working out with a trainer and have fallen in love with working out....which I never saw coming! I currently work out 6 days a week with my trainer in addition to doing an hour of cardio daily. I feel that I am in the best health of my life. It's not easy, but if it were...everyone would do it right!?
Since the surgery 10 years ago, I have had one Iron infusion. Other Vitamin deficiencies have been handled through oral supplements...when i remember to take them. I often experience symptoms that I wonder if they are related to the surgery. Lately I get dizzy at night and have some weird GI symptoms weekly.
Anyone considering surgery...i would do it again in a heartbeat.

    Hi,
Im new here but had the mgb in 2001. I originally lost about 125 pounds and have gained back alot of weight, mostly over the last 3-4 years.
I was hoping to find some others here who have had the surgery a while back. I have a few issues I would like to ask some questions about.
My Iron count is at 5 which is dangerously low and I have yet to find an Iron supplement that I absorb. I just found the iron patch and will receive it this week. I'm hoping it works and that I don't have to have the iron infusion.
I really would like to lose the weight again but have found it extremely difficult to lose anything I still can not eat very much, Im going to try the Unjury Protein I just saw on here. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.
    Thanks
    Dawn
