  1. The only thing that feels bad right now is the incisions. They sting and ache like little puncture wounds. I' only take the pain meds if I'm going to sleep or nap because it allows me to get some rest. The past two days I've gotten my 64 ozs of water in. Today I tried some broth but couldn't "eat/drink" it all. I've been sipping on smart water. Haven't had any weird vomiting and nausea is ALMOST non xistent...but not quite gone.
  2. YES I had extenuating circumstances that kept me in one day longer - MOST OF YOU will not have this problem. I have a clotting disorder called Factor 5 Leiden. They just kept me one more day to monitor my clotting and my transition.
  3. Yeah, It's not the end of the world....but it's rough...or it was for me, but seriiously, like I said, it lasted the day of the surgery and then about 75% of the next day...then it went WAY down...don't be scared, but don't go into it thinking it's a cakewalk.
  4. I was discharged . AMA means "Ask Me Anything" lol! It doesn't mean "Against Medical Advice" lol!
  5. Sure, I'm happy the most painful part is over, no regrets, I knew what I was getting into, it just sucks for about two days. And I'm sure I' ll be happier and happier as I heal and the pain goes away and the weight drops. Just saying, it's no walk in the park. Or no picnic. Basically it's no picnic in the park that you walked to. It's kinda like, someone knocked your ass out, stabbed you six times in the gut and you woke up in the hospital unable to eat anything or sleep at all.
  6. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QLYYWUS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 It helps support your stomach. It feels like your guts are falling out because you lose a little strength in your stomach wall...this helps tremendously.
  7. Just got home. Spent three nights at hospital. Gotta tell ya, it sucks. No sugar coating. Whoever it was who told me to get a suppression sleeve for my stomach thank you. It's the biggest help.

  9. Tomorrow Morning 5:30 am Nine day liquid diet put me at 16 lbs less than I was, well, nine days ago eh. Here goes everything.
  10. Wow. Gives me good motivation when I'm hating my pre op diet right now!
  11. I just want something in my friggin stomach so I don't feel so friggin nauseous
  12. This is not getting any better. This sucks so f'ing much. I hate this.
  13. 28 Days? That seems like torture. I am on day 4 of a 10 day one and time just slows down to a tiny crawl. I guess I need to suck it up. Good Luck and Good Health to you...you're strong!
  14. Oh that's so good to hear - thank you. Even though I'm hungry and want to shove some food in my mouth, I'm not. Even though my tummy is hungry and my mind feels grumpy, my body kind of feels good. It doesn't feel sluggish and stuffed. Sluggish and stuffed is ALL my body has felt like lately anyway so it's kind of a relief. I'm going to have to learn and become familiar with my body calling the shots and not my mind. Or maybe the other way around yet, I'm not entirely sure. I don't know what to do, as I feel like doing nothing but hiding in a bedroom till surgery. I have a shortness of temper. I'm grouchy. I don't like to be out of my comfort zone when unfortunately my comfort zone was feeling sluggish and stuffed. Isn't that sick?
  15. Y'all, I am only two days into this 10 day liquid diet and I just feel grumpy and want to hide in the bedroom and sleep till my surgery date. I've had both chicken and beef broth, the premier protein shakes, jello and yogurt, tried cottage cheese but the kind I got was crap. Didn't want. I have tea for breakfast. I know - wah wah wah....but the struggle is real, y'all. Hep me, or just commiserate on how much this sucks with me.
  16. mines the 24th just started pre op liquid. I want to not be on this
  17. Me too! Actually I just had my consult today so I am starting it in the morning and I'm scared! ?
  18. Yes ma'am. I am scheduled for July 24th. Dr. Olsen.
  19. I HOPE that people ask me "How are you losing all this weight?" I'm a very creative person and I like to mess with people so I can think of some really good responses to elicit surprise from these people.... "I have a GIANT tapeworm. It's the new craze from Europe. Yep, it's a tapeworm and his name is Justin. As in, he's Justin my Large intestines." "I've been donating all my fat on a monthly basis to fill the Kardashians parts. Lips, ass, boobs, they all not only have a little Ray Jay in them, they also have a fair amount of me." "Oh Am I? It must be all the stupid questions I answer all day long. Burns A LOT of calories. You should try it." Stuff like that. Or this.....
