losing2live4Him reacted to mommyofLDS in You know you lost weight when
When the wedding rings that used to fit so snugly that they left marks fall off your fingers and you have to hunt around in the laundry basket to find them (time to find a jeweler to size them)

losing2live4Him got a reaction from DianeJarrett in I can't get used to being thinner!
It's hard for my mind to adjust as well. I'm almost 6 months post op (Gastric Bypass), and I've disowned 113 pounds. I still have about 60 to goal. I still feel morbidly obese.
My brother chewed me out on Thanksgiving, because I insisted on sitting in the corner so I wouldn't get in the way of family trying to get past my chair! He was seriously mad at me because he said I was so much smaller and didn't come close to being in the way!

losing2live4Him got a reaction from sjack in What foods don't agree with your stomach?
I'm three months out, and still have issues with a lot of food the doctor says I can eat. There are days when all I can eat is string cheese, and sometimes Soup. chicken is not my friend 95% of the time!
I take an antacid as prescribed, but I'm seriously considering adding a gas-x tablet to every day just to avoid feeling like crud every single time I eat.

losing2live4Him reacted to Dropzone in Rate of weight loss?
I am 3 months post op I started my weight lost surgery at 575lbs back in November 2016 and at the date of surgery I had got myself down to 521lbs. On my 3 month mark I took pictures and video of me weighing myself to make a record I had reached 420lbs. I am on a diet of 900 calories with the majority of my diet being 55% protien consisting of chicken fish and other lean meats and 25% fats (healthy fats) and 20% carbs. I am amazed at my progress so far and I am taking my weight loss so far because I was heavier that most but still taking it very serious.

losing2live4Him got a reaction from daats in Need advice
My husband (will be officially ex soon) was so against me having the bypass, he threatened to leave me! I had the surgery on June 16, 2017. He was gone when I got out of the hospital. I've done it all on my own...complications and all. But the surgery itself was worth every minute. I'm 7 weeks out, 60 pounds down (260 if you count my husband), and off ALL of my meds other than the ones I take for depression and anxiety!

losing2live4Him got a reaction from NikkiWorldJourney in Breakfast help
I have the same problem! I can't stand eggs, or cottage cheese. I can't find lower sugar oatmeal that doesn't have cinnamon in it (I love cinnamon, but apparently my post op tummy says no), so I can't even eat that! Protein Shakes make me nauseous...no matter how I make them, and I'm sick to death of yogurt with fruit it it! I am just over 4 weeks post op. I have to FORCE myself to eat.

losing2live4Him got a reaction from gwbicster in 7 mos post op, divorced and 90 lbs gone ( pics)
I'll be getting divorced soon as well. Mine IS because of the surgery. I had an ultimatum. He said if I did the surgery he would divorce me. My gastric bypass was June 16th! Soooo...there ya go!
I have a long journey ahead of me, but I've already disowned 52 pounds from my body, and loads of weight from stress! I feel so very much better!

losing2live4Him got a reaction from linah in Negative people
Shortly after I wrote this, I ended up in the E.R! That was no fun. I just got home tonight from my little fiasco. Apparently I had a stomach ulcer. And my blood level was dangerously low, plus dehydration.
Small set-back, but back on full liquid diet and new meds. Ugh!

losing2live4Him got a reaction from njgal in Negative people
I'm doing ok. Today is post op day 8, so I started my Vitamins and full liquid diet. My tummy doesn't seem to appreciate it as much as I thought it would though! I'm doing this alone for now, so I'm making due. Thanks for asking!

You are definitely in my prayers. Drinking Water is vital. Getting your Vitamins and needed Protein is as well. I know it is hard. And set backs are painful. I'm a little less than 3 weeks post op, and finally doing better. You can do it! Good luck! Enjoy your journey!

losing2live4Him reacted to Bougie21 in This Is So New
Thank you ladies. I truly appreciate your help. My daughter found a link on here from 2012 where someone posted about the pain after swallowing and they are saying it's trapped air. Also communicated that if you mix your Water with something to break it done it helps because water is a heavy substance. I'm trying praying this is it. So far today I got an entire Dasani water down today. I know it's not much but way more than I have been consuming. Just please keep me uplifted in prayer. I will keep you posted.

losing2live4Him got a reaction from AZ Bonnie in Surgery in a few hours
Hi fellow AZers! I'm in Mesa! I am still pre-op...awaiting insurance approval. I did all the requirements, so the ball is in their court now! Dr. Sprunger will be my surgeon as well. I'm excited, but anxious and a bit worried about post-op walking. I have HUGE back problems, so walking is very painful for me as it is.

I know how it feels to have negative people in your way. Mine is not my health care professionals...it's my husband! He is so against me having my surgery ( bypass scheduled for June 16, 2017), that he has threatened to divorce me if I go through with it. He repeatedly tells me I will fail, and gain all my weight back. That it's a waste of money. That it's taking the lazy way out, and cheating to lose weight after being a glutton for 8 years. I have gained over 150 pounds since my mom passed away in 2008. So I guess that makes me a glutton.
