  3. You look amazing! Great job and you are handsome now and was before surgery!
  4. Hi Fred. I saw that you are a bypass patient and I read that you are eating and drinking with no issues. I had my surgery 6/26 but I am having a hard time with food. It still hurts when I eat stuff and was wondering were you experiencing any of that. Sometimes liquids hurt as well. I know everyone heals differently but this is going into 6 weeks for me and literally scared to eat cause I'm afraid I will hurt
  5. You look amazing. In 10 weeks you have lost a lot. Tomorrow I will be at 6 weeks and is only 21 pounds down!
  6. Hi all. I am 5 weeks out and it is still very difficult for me to eat meat... Foods in general. Funny how I use to love food but now I'm afraid to eat due to the fact that I'm scared it's gonna hurt. Not sure if this is normal but seems alot of things hurts when It gets in my pouch and it discourages me to really eat.
  7. I never said it wasn't. You mentioned that you felt bypass was for people who had alot of illness if I understood your post. I just specified that I didn't have all the illnesses that most have. I don't know you but you seem so hell bent on trying to check people are put people in their places when it's not called for. My post was encouraging to everyone not for anyone to try to find something to try and make a person feel bad about it. You made a lot of comments and I'm making mind. As I said i am not knocking either and we all share a common goal which is to be smaller. I hope your journey is going well and have a Awesome week.

  9. Well I had the bypass on June 26th. I was only 242 and is now 222. The comment about it being for more people with illness is incorrect I feel. My ONLY issue was that I suffered from GERD.No diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, thyroid, varicose veins, etc. My Dr recommended that I had the bypass to cure the GERD which I have not suffered with anymore. I honestly feel the choice is based on you and what your Dr recommends. Everyone body heals differently so that's the tell tale side of it. I've heard issues from both bypass and sleeve patients but I wouldn't knock 1 of the other. At the end of the day you have to be happy with your choice and learn to adopt to your new digestive system and stomach. We all share a common goal so lets be encouraging about it. I'm struggling with it emotionally but this is just 5 weeks for me and im sure it will get better. I truly wish everyone many blessing on their journey and can't wait to hear how you and your husband are doing post op! !!!
  10. I feel your pain. I had my surgery on June 26th and haven't lost but 20 also. My surgery weight was 242 and one im 222. Been at 222 for 4 days now...I want the big loss too!!!!

  14. LOL you can adopt me and help me with my tummy tuck lol!!!!
  15. Hi Heidi.. I am sorry that you too are frustrated. I just posted that same thing on my page. I had the bypass on June 26th and it's a struggle. I am so emotional mentally and think I may see counseling. It's way harder than I expected. I am still dealing with vomiting depending on what I eat and sometimes even soft foods hurt still. My bowels don't move either unless I take a Dulcolax too. Sipping verses drinkingnis hard for me so I understand what you are feeling. I pray things turn around for us and many many blessing on your journey

  18. Thank you. I am sure you can do it. I am happy that you are doing well. The crazy thing is I still feel so unsure about the surgery. I'm just not in a happy place with it and feel maybe I need to seek counseling. I'm still struggling with what I can eat. Things like what is not gonna hurt when I swallow or not make me vomit. It's also hard for me with the sipping verses to regularly drinking... That's a biggie for me. I think my taste buds are jacked up too. I will just be so happy when my dark days has left and I can feel like a human being again. I have been questioning if this was a mistake daily. Just feeling so down about this.
