OMG! I'm 2yrs postop VSG and your statement hit my situation right on target. I'm starting my reset this week, I've been luck to have only gained 11lbs in the past year but I don't want this to get out of control. I didn't want to loose any more weight after having my plastic surgery of fat transfer so I begin eating more. Thanks for sharing & keep us posted🤩

It’s been a while omg hey guys!

Ok so I could never understand before and after having surgery how people gain back their weight and sometimes more.
I was sleeved over 2 years ago and now that I can eat whatever I want I completely understand the struggle.
I still till this day can’t eat full meals like I would have a little bit of everything and just pick at the plate until I’m done which takes like an hour or two honestly, my problem is snacking. I can eat everything from snickers to Doritos and it’s just so annoying because having the self control is more like mind control. I always tell myself I don’t need it yet sometimes I still end up getting candy or a salty snack.
My lowest weight has been 140, I recently went through a bad break up in April. I was 143 pounds and now I am 165 pounds. I’ve been eating junk food like crazy and even though it’s stress eating I need to find other ways.

Can anyone recommend health Snacks?

In the mean time I’m going to try and “reset” my sleeve. I called my surgeon about this a few days ago before I made this post (what a great guy he actually listened to me for a good hour) and he told me to start over from liquid diet to soft foods then reg and to keep going to the gym.

Hello everyone 🙄 I was sleeved June 1st and I've never felt better. I'm 1 pound away from my GW & that's exciting but scary being it's only been 6months & I'm still loosing @ half lb per week! My surgeon wanted me in the 150's but I know I would be frail/sick looking (b/c of my height of 5'8")so I stayed focused on my goal POSTOP and I feel super & look gorgeous (if I must say). I'm no longer on meds for high bp & my feet no longer swell after a long day🙄 Congrats to all of us on this "New lease on life"

I only experience hiccups when I overeat, but I burp all the time & have been since @ week 4 POSTOP I assume it's a part of life now

Well, did they put on you on the pouch reset? Also, are you tracking your calories and macros? I use the following Apps and fitness devices:
1) MyfitnessPal (I track my calories and macros (fat, carbs, protein))
2) Fitbit (I track my steps and exercise. You can link it to the MyfitnessPal)
3) Purchasing a food scale and smaller portion containers.
4) Try for interval workouts.
I hope this helps. I am sure I am missing some things.

Hello everyone my name is Keilee and I’m new here. I had the gastric sleeve on the 20th of February. Before the pre op diet I was 317lbs After the pre op diet I was 306lbs and then 2 weeks post op I was 276lbs. within a week my weight shot back up to 295lbs.
I’ll admit I haven’t been as active as I should be but I’m active now, I mentioned that to my doctor already. Now I have a new problem. I’m not getting full! I’m not even so much as satisfied. I was able to eat 2 scrambled eggs today and I had a tuna pack 1 hour before that. I don’t get sick but I have eaten things ahead of my current step by mistake. On top of that I experience little to no pain. I feel very normal actually.

Did my stomach stretch out? I feel depressed now because I think it stretched out and it was a waste.

Hi everyone - I had gastric sleeve surgery 18 months ago and lost 80+ pounds. Life is terrific. However, lately I have really been struggling with my weight, and I am up six pounds from my lowest point. Obviously, I want to nip this in the bud immediately and get my weight back down.
I never really adopted regular exercise (I was the girl who failed high school gym; I hate it). My food habits are pretty good - I eat primarily Protein, vegetables, fruit and nuts (no sugar or refined carbs) and for the most part, limit myself to three meals and two Protein Shakes per day. I don't eat large quantities.
Why is my weight creeping up? How can I reverse this? I know that metabolism slows after 18 months, but I am very concerned about gaining more weight and ruining the achievement that I have worked so hard for.

I’ve had alittle bit of Hair loss recently and I know with trauma or sickness we can lose our hair. Do you guys have any tips on Hair growth?

Start my clear liquid pre-op next week. Anyone using Isopure? I’m reading it’s nasty but it has twice as much Protein as Premier Clear so....

Has anyone had this surgery and NOT told friends or family? I got sleeved 3/8 and have told 2 best friends. They both have gotten the surgery done 3 years ago. Every time I would bring up the topic of Bariatric surgery I would get the negative comments of “thats the easy way out” and “just exercise”. I don’t wanna hear anyone’s mouth. I’m not embarrassed about the surgery at all. I just don’t have many supportive people in my family.

You look amazing. May I ask what your bmi will be at your goal weight ?
I was told to go lower than my goal to account for bounce back weight. No idea if that's what everyone experiences. My goal is 135lbs (24 bmi) I think if I get there I'll go to 115 to allow for regain. I'm 188 now.

Hello, I've posted this topic a couple of times and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this. I've been having cramping/abdominal spasms in my stomach area that goes into the spinal chord. It feels like a muscular type of cramping, and it has made my life uncomfortable. Has anyone ever heard of this? Does anyone know of any pain meds that would work for this type of pain? I've been having these pains for about 4 and 5 years.

My longest stall was 1 month, but remember you must set your goal weight not your surgeon, mines wanted me at 150 but I love my body & look now at 186 [emoji41] I knew I would be frail/sick looking at 150🙄
