    Hello Sleevers!
I just wanted to say hello and check in I haven’t posted since I was sleeved on 10/10. My highest weight was 272, My day of surgery weight was 248 and my current weight is 221. it has been very hard for me to tolerate protien drinks but I do well with drinking Water and eating certain foods. I’m currently in stage 4 and will enter stage 5 on 12/10. I feel great, some days I feel like I look the same but we all have those moments when we are hard on ourselves. If you have any recommendations for flavorless protien please let me know currently my sleeve loves, flat out flat bread, sugar free peaches , watermelon, deli meat, fish and chicken. My sleeve does not like eggs , milk, artificial sweeteners, yogurt.
    Peace, love, blessings!

    Good morning!
I was sleeved 10/10/17 and down 21lbs do far. No complications or nausea and I'm on soft foods. This surgery has been a blessing. I did have a weak moment when my employer treated us to lunch and I had SOME cheese cake. My former greedy self would've eaten it ALL. Lol. I'm embarrassed to say, but I have not been walking. I probably could've lost more weight. Today is a new day though...
And, I'm having trouble meeting my fluid goals.
    SW: 280
    CW: 259
    Wishing you all the best

I so agree with this! CICO is a concept that can only truly be applied to a "closed" system--like in a vacuum! And our bodies are so complex. We are a multi-layered arrangement of continual feedback loops that are connected and interconnected to each other. Build a metabolic beaver damn along one feedback loop and watch how it blocks the cascade of metabolic function below it!
I personally have tested this time and again with PCOS and very high HOMA-IR scores. Turns out if you put me on a low carb AND low fat diet, add thyroid hormone, AND add Vitamin B1 (thiamine,an energy converting sub particle of Vitamin B ) I can finally lose weight at something approaching a slow normal rate. If you don't do that, then I might only take in 400cals per day, but I certainly won't lose any weight because my metabolism is locked up in multiple feedback loops.

Hey guys! So I had gastric bypass on Aug. 14.2017. I was 249 starting, on surgery date I was 239 and today I am 208.8lbs.
I see everyone in here who’s weight is literally falling off! They do nothing and the weight still comes off. While all the weight I’ve lost so far, I put work in! I go to the gym everyday and do cardio for an hour! And I still don’t lose as much as other people. And now, my weight hasn’t changed since last week, school and depression got in the way and I didn’t work out for 5 days. But I can’t even say I lost a pound despite how little I eat. So this is what I ate yesterday: Breakfast was a Premier Protein, dinner was 44g of an avocado and 1 large egg. Then I had a snack of cashews which was portioned out to approx. 15g. Here comes the bad part, I ate a Pringle and I ate 3/4 potato chips from Trader Joe’s, so they probably aren’t as bad as lays. But it’s still bad I know. That was the first time I’ve had a snack of chips, today I’m throwing them all, no temptations. I don’t think it was horrible though, probably 5 chips in total . Even if I do a liquid diet, I still lose nothing. I’ll do one this week and let you guys know. So disappointed and unmotivated! I paid so much for this surgery because my insurance wouldn’t cover it. And here I am, with the world’s shittest results. Also note that I feel like I’ve been on a stall 99.9% of the time! Two weekends ago was the first time that the weight fell off and I lost 4 lbs by two days. But that’s the only time that has happened. EVER.

I was also sleeved on 10/10 HW 272 CW 248 GW ?? I would have to say the gas pain is the worst, walking and moving around has helped. My stomach feels so heavy if that makes any sense. I stayed I. The hospital for 2 days but I feel like they were rushing me out. It was very hard for me to consume liquids and it still is. I’m baffled on how my nutritionists wants me to get almost 99-108 grams of protien in a day ... it feels impossible. Stay strong I hope you feel better.

I’m soooo excited! Tomorrow is the big day. I believe the pre op diet was the hardest part so far. For the individuals who are currently in the pre op diet phase stay focused!! I lost about 15 lbs since starting the pre op diet. I feel light and great. Another word of advice I can give is RELAX AND REST. ️
