how long did it take to heal

Hi MK94 I am 11 days post op and finally turned the corner. My energy beginning to return, and my full liq drinking going well. I had several days where I was depleted energy wise because my surgeon wanted me to focus on fluids not protein and it wasn't enough for me. Once I increased protein consumption, I was a new person! Thank goodness. I was wondering how I would ever get back to work if I couldn't get off the sofa?! Just stay the course and all will get better. I'm down 23 lbs in 3 weeks, hoping to get a good walk in today. Best of luck to all!

how long did it take to heal

I was DC'd from hospital on day 2 d/t nausea. Once home, I was fine. Incisional pain the worst on right lower quadrant. On day 6, I could finally tolerate it well enough to move on to Tylenol. I needed a little help with stool softners and Miralax, and Day 6 it happened! Guess this was a turning point for me on a few things. Everyone heals differently! Keep walking, drinking, resting and stay the course. All will work out! Good Luck to all....
  3. Hello All, I'm 4 days post op and what a journey! I had a band for 12 years which eroded and had to be urgently removed. My band did its job, but I gained lots of weight after removal. So, a revision to bypass was my option. I can tell you I was a complicated case due to adhesions and the discovery of 2 hernias. My poor wittle belly! I just wanted to add it will be great getting out of my fat suit and into my skinny suit again. All this pain is worth the long term result of being healthy! I love hearing others stories. It's a great way to support each other. Thank you. It's nice to know I'm not alone on this journey.
